Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for automatically servicing item data requests in data management systems, such as in retail management systems. The apparatus and methods employ a throttling technique to service data requests from one or more entities. In some examples, a computing device initializes assigns a counter for each entity, and initializes each counter with an initial value. The computing device also occasionally (e.g., periodically) resets each counter to the initial value. The computing device may receive a data request from one of the entities, and determines whether the counter corresponding to the entity identifies a count that is beyond a threshold. If the counter identifies a count beyond the threshold, the computing device adjusts the counter, and processes the data request. If the counter does not identify a count beyond the threshold, the computing device responds to the entity with an error.

Abstract: A method of completing RCS file transfer. The method comprises receiving a first SIP message comprising a first URL designating a file stored in a first message store in a first network by an RCS server in a second network; sending the first URL by the RCS server to a second message store in the second network; identifying a second URL by the second message store, wherein the second URL is to be associated with the first URL by a proxy server; sending the first URL and the second URL by the second message store to the proxy server; sending the second URL by the second message store to the RCS server; and sending a second SIP message comprising the second URL by the RCS server to a communication device, whereby the communication device is enabled to request a file from the proxy based on the second URL.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and another device (e.g., another UE) may transmit messages on a shared channel accessed in a half-duplex manner (e.g., within a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) network). The UE and the other device may transmit messages on semi-persistently scheduled (SPS) resources. A message of the UE and a transmission of the other device may collide (e.g., be transmitted in the same subframe). The UE may employ muting and measuring, in which the UE may refrain from transmitting on a SPS resource and may detect the transmission of the other device. Upon detection of other transmissions, the UE may perform resource reselection. During resource selection or resource reselection, the UE may exclude an entire subframe of candidate resources if one of the candidate resources of the subframe is mapped to a resource associated with a transmission from another device.

Abstract: A method for managing beam alignment by a user equipment is provided. The method comprises receiving beam width information and base station location information from a base station, calculating a displacement of location of the UE based on location coordinates of the UE, measuring a change in a signal strength of the UE due to the displacement, and determining whether the UE is moving towards or away from the base station using at least one of the beam width information, base station location information, the displacement, and the measured change in the signal strength, determining whether a beam re-alignment is required based on the determination of the movement of UE, and transmitting a realignment request to the base station for a re-aligned beam width and a new transmission beam based on determining that the beam re-alignment is required.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method can comprise establishing programmatic connections to a digitally stored first database comprising over one million records, each of the records comprising columns; reading a configuration file that specifies tables in the database; for each particular table, forming and submitting a plurality of queries to the database, each of the queries specifying data aggregation operations, and in response thereto, receiving result sets of records of the database; calculating metadata metrics that characterize columns of the records in the result sets and storing the metadata metrics in tables for string column statistics, numeric column statistics, date column statistics, based upon a particular data type among different data types of the columns; generating presentation instructions which when rendered cause displaying one or more graphical visualizations in a graphical user interface.

Abstract: A network node in an optical network dynamically generates a routing table based on attributes of the optical network. The network node obtains attributes characterizing the optical network, which includes multiple network nodes connected by optical links. The network node calculates cost values for sending data from the network node to one or more next hop nodes that are connected to the network node. Each particular cost value is associated with a probability of success of sending the data to a particular next hop node based on a particular permutation of the attributes characterizing the optical network. The network node generates a routing table correlating the permutations of the attributes with each next hop node based on the cost values.

Abstract: The controlled dosage dispensing valve is a device that may be placed atop an extraneous cylinder. It is an aim of the device to facilitate the metering and dosing chambers within a plurality of annular aperture and an upper portion of the intake channel respectively through a plurality of fuel apertures. To accomplish this, a spigot valve system, a dosing system, and a cap system are integrated onto a single apparatus that may be fitted over an external gas cylinder. Further, a return spring is disposed that may facilitate vertical reciprocating motion consequent to the consumption of fuel in the associative metering and dosing chambers. With an extraneous tool about the device that induces a downward vertical force on the valve spigot and the pressure of the fuel propagated by the extraneous fuel cylinder, the device achieves the reciprocating motion necessary to meter and dose the fuel.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that merge separate digital point text objects into a single merged digital text object while preserving the properties and original visual appearance associated with the digital text included therein. For example, the disclosed systems can determine point text character properties associated with the separate digital point text objects (e.g., rotations, baseline shifts, etc.). The disclosed systems can merge the separate digital point text objects into a single merged digital point text object and modify associated font character properties to reflect the determined point text character properties. Further, the disclosed systems can generate an area text object based on the merged digital point text object where the area text object includes the digital text and the font character properties.

Abstract: A network management center includes a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server. The network management center obtains from an identity server, client information indicating authentication of a client device in a wireless network that is connected to a network fabric. The network management center obtains from an edge node in the network fabric an Internet Protocol (IP) address request for the client device. The IP address request including a fabric domain identifier associated with the edge node. The network management center allocates an IP address for the client device based on the client information obtained from the identity server and the fabric domain identifier contained in the IP address request obtained from the edge node. The network management center provides to the edge node an Identifier Locator Addressing (ILA) address based on the IP address.

Abstract: A phone tree traversal system includes an input device configured to receive a user call request, a memory, and one or more processors. The one or more processors analyze the user call request to identify an entity to call and an objective of the call, and obtain a map of a phone tree utilized by an automated call receiving system of the entity. The phone tree includes at least one node with multiple path segments that branch from the node, and each node includes a respective prompt. The one or more processors determine a route along the map to an endpoint of the phone tree associated with the objective. During the call, the one or more processors navigate the phone tree to reach the endpoint by submitting information in response to the respective prompt at each node along the route that is determined.

Abstract: A system for Augmented Reality (AR) document generation receives a request to generate an AR document with a particular amount directed to a particular receiver. The AR document comprises an AR check. The system generates a unique code for the AR check by converting a name of a sender, a name of the particular receiver, the amount, and a serial number associated with the AR check into a hexadecimal format. The system generates the AR check by taking the unique code as an input and writing the name of the sender, name of the particular receiver, the amount, and the serial number on the AR check extracted from the unique code. The system transmits an image of the AR check to a computing device associated with the particular receiver.

Abstract: A method for content management in a cellular network is provided. The method includes receiving, by an application server, a content request including a file identity from a User Equipment (UE), performing, upon receiving the content request, by the application server, at least one action associated with content caching, content retrieval, and content deletion, assigning, by the application server, one or more assisting parameters in a header of an Internet Protocol (IP) packet, based on the at least one performed action, and assisting, by the application server, at least one of a User Plane Function (UPF) device, and a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) device of the cellular network to manage content, based on the one or more assigned assisting parameters.

Abstract: It is provided a method for adjusting alignment for microwave transmissions from a microwave transmitter to a microwave receiver based on a reinforcement learning, RL, model. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining state space comprising external state space and internal state space, the external state space comprising at least one value of a parameter related to environmental conditions, and the internal state space relates to alignment of the microwave transmitter; determining an action in an action space, the action space comprising actions to adjust alignment of the microwave transmitter; obtaining a measurement of path loss for a transmission from the microwave transmitter to the microwave receiver; determining a reward value based on the path loss, wherein an increase in path loss results in a reduced reward value; and adjusting the RL model based on the obtained state space, the determined action and the determined reward value.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of regenerating a sorbent of gas in a capture process of said gas, wherein the capture process comprises recirculating the sorbent between a gas capturing system and regenerating reactor system, the method comprising the regenerating reactor system performing the steps of: receiving a solid sorbent to be regenerated, wherein the sorbent is a sorbent of carbon dioxide gas; generating heat by combusting a fuel with an oxidising agent in the presence of a catalyst; regenerating the sorbent by using the generated heat to indirectly heat the sorbent so that the sorbent releases carbon dioxide gas; outputting the regenerated sorbent; and outputting the released carbon dioxide gas. Advantages of the gas capture system include a higher efficiency than known techniques.

Abstract: An exception resolution system determines that an exception error corresponding to a failed transmission of communication data between servers of a distributed network. Based in part on a shortest data transfer route associated with the exception error, a containerized test environment is generated with the minimum replica components needed to replicate the exception error. The containerized test environment can be used to test possible changes for resolving the exception error.

Abstract: A method of assembling a refrigeration unit includes inserting a machine compartment assembly, including a base plate and a compressor coupled to the base plate, into a machine compartment of the refrigeration unit, mounting a control box of the refrigeration unit to a side panel, and coupling the side panel to the refrigeration unit, such that the side panel conceals a lateral side of the machine compartment and the control box is laterally-inboard of the side panel.

Abstract: Systems and methods in accordance with embodiments of the invention can automatically track the creation of documents, such as source code files and unit tests, along with the development of those documents. A variety of metrics can be generated regarding errors and issues identified during the development process along with predictive metrics regarding potential issues within the documents. These metrics can be used to identify common issues, automatically generate proactive suggestions to avoid issues during document creation and testing, and/or generate developer profiles indicating the performance of particular developers. A variety of machine learning classifiers can be used to generate the metrics.

Abstract: Methods and systems for crowd level estimation are provided. The system for crowd level estimation includes an input module and a crowd level estimation module. The input module receives an input image of a crowd and the crowd level estimation module estimates a crowd level of the crowd in the input image in response to a crowd density level.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and system for transmitting a sequence with low peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR). A communication system receives control data. A transmitter of the communication system comprises a plurality of sequences which are associated with the control data in the transmitter. The transmitter selects a sequence from the plurality of sequence. The selected sequence is rotated, pre-coded for generating pre-coded sequence. DFT is applied on the pre-coded sequence for generating frequency domain signals. The frequency domain signals are processed and corresponding waveform is transmitted to a receiver of the communication system. The receiver receives the waveform and is processed to extract the sequence from the waveform. The receiver correlates the extracted sequence with plurality of sequences stored in receiver memory to detect the control data. The generated waveform has low PAPR.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed that collect media metrics on computing devices. An example apparatus includes at least one memory, instructions in the apparatus, and processor circuitry to execute the instructions to determine a permission level of a meter and, in response to the determination, request a permission to access media data of an application programming interface (API), in response to determining a media session notification is available as indicated by the API, package media session data associated with the media session notification, the media session data extracted from metadata of the media session notification, obtain foreground information; and generate a package of metrics, the package of metrics including the packaged media session data and the foreground information.
