  • Publication number: 20240039837
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device generates an application map for an online application accessed via a network that indicates a set of network addresses at which the online application was accessed, client information for clients that accessed the online application via the network, and quality of experience metrics for the online application. The device identifies a location change of the online application by tracking changes to the application map. The device determines a correlation between the location change and a degradation in the quality of experience metrics. The device adjusts, based on the correlation, routing of traffic associated with the online application in the network.

  • Publication number: 20240036149
Abstract: A mobile device and base station are enabled to support improved positioning accuracy in the presence of phase noise in high frequency radio network, such as in 5G New Radio network operating in mmWave. Phase Tracking Reference Signal (PTRS) may be transmitted with Positioning Reference Signals (PRS) and used for positioning and/or used to correct the phase offset between symbols in the PRS. A request may be made to transmit PTRS alone or with the PRS, or that the PRS is transmitted with a specific PRS frame structure, e.g., with a specific comb value, that minimizes the impact of phase noise. The PTRS or a phase ramp of the staggered symbols in the PRS may be used to estimate and correct the phase offset. Less than all of the symbols transmitted in the PRS may be used to generate positioning measurements to minimize the impact of phase noise.

  • Publication number: 20240040193
Abstract: A system is provided for concurrent presentation of non-programming media assets with programming media content at a client device. The client device receives a response for occurrence of an event opportunity point from the media presentation and distribution system based on a selection criteria for the event opportunity point. A display view of the client device is modified, and a non-programming media asset is presented from a second media stream for a defined duration and different version of the programming media content in first partition, concurrently with the programming media content over second partition. The different version of the programming media content corresponds to the programming media content encoded based on a region within the modified display view allocated to the first partition. The presentation is based on user preference for specific item in the programming media content and user selection of the non-programming media asset displayed in past engagement.

  • Publication number: 20240038316
Abstract: A memory device includes a memory array including wordlines and at least one string of cells. Each cell of the at least one string of cells is addressable by a respective wordline. The memory device further includes control logic, operatively coupled to the memory array, to perform operations including generating gate-induced drain leakage (GIDL) with respect to the at least one string of cells, and causing a grounding voltage to be applied to a set of wordlines to ground each cell of the at least one string of cells addressable by each wordline of the set of wordlines. The grounding voltage applied to the set of wordlines enables transport of positive charge carriers generated by the GIDL. In some embodiments, the positive charge carriers neutralize a buildup of negative charge carriers generated during a seeding phase of a program refresh operation.

  • Publication number: 20240040396
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for defining a telecommunications network deployment for a particular geographic region, the telecommunications network including an access network, an edge network, and a core network. The method determines population density of UEs (user equipment) for the particular geographic region. Based on the determined population density, the method divides the particular geographic region into a set of sub-regions. For each sub-region in the set of sub-regions, the method simulates performance of the telecommunications network to explore multiple configurations for access nodes that connect UEs in the sub-region to the telecommunications network. Each configuration in the multiple configurations is defined based on population density of the sub-region. The method selects a particular configuration for access nodes from the multiple configurations for use in defining a deployment of the telecommunications network.

  • Publication number: 20240036516
Abstract: An optical master is created by using a nanoimprint alignment layer to pattern a liquid crystal layer. The nanoimprint alignment layer and the liquid crystal layer constitute the optical master. The optical master is positioned above a photo-alignment layer. The optical master is illuminated and light propagating through the nanoimprinted alignment layer and the liquid crystal layer is diffracted and subsequently strikes the photo-alignment layer. The incident diffracted light causes the pattern in the liquid crystal layer to be transferred to the photo-alignment layer. A second liquid crystal layer is deposited onto the patterned photo-alignment layer, which subsequently is used to align the molecules of the second liquid crystal layer. The second liquid crystal layer in the patterned photo-alignment layer may be utilized as a replica optical master or as a diffractive optical element for directing light in optical devices such as augmented reality display devices.

  • Publication number: 20240036770
Abstract: Techniques are provided for implementing a distributed control plane to facilitate communication between a container orchestration platform and a distributed storage architecture. The distributed storage architecture hosts worker nodes that manage distributed storage that can be made accessible to applications within the container orchestration platform through the distributed control plane. The distributed control plane includes control plane controllers that are each paired with a single worker node of the distributed storage architecture. The distributed control plane is configured to selectively route commands to control plane controllers that are paired with worker nodes that are current owners of objects targeted by the commands. If ownership of an object has changed from one worker node to another worker node, then subsequent commands will be re-routed to a control plane controller paired with the other worker node now owning the object.

  • Publication number: 20240036146
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a location server, a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration for a downlink-and-uplink-based positioning session between the UE and the location server, waits, based on a determination that a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration for the downlink-and-uplink-based positioning session has not been received from a serving base station of the UE, for reception of the SRS configuration from the serving base station until expiration of a timer, and determines, based on the expiration of the timer, whether the SRS configuration was received.

  • Publication number: 20240040202
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses that utilize machine learning techniques to dynamically adjust the placement of secondary content that is displayed across numerous user devices over time are described. The user devices may comprise electronic computing devices, such as a mobile phones and digital televisions. The secondary content may be displayed within open slots of webpages or display screens in response to being selected for display during a real-time bidding process for the open slots. In some cases, in response to a bid request for an open slot within a webpage or display screen, a computer-implemented bid generation system for determining the selection and placement of secondary content may identify the secondary content to be displayed within the open slot, determine a bid amount for the identified secondary content, and transmit a bid response that includes the bid amount and the identified secondary content.

  • Publication number: 20240037740
Abstract: Methods and systems for generating a predictive HER2 score using machine learning models are disclosed. An example method generally includes identifying a plurality of nuclei and membrane segments in regions of interest in an input image using a first machine learning model. For the plurality of nuclei and membrane segments identified in the input image, a plurality of features are extracted and classified into one of a plurality of feature categories. Using a second machine learning model, a predictive HER2 score indicating the likelihood of whether a stained tissue sample captured in the input image is HER2 positive or HER2 negative is generated based on the classification assigned to the plurality of extracted features associated with the plurality of segments.

  • Publication number: 20240037455
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for multi-task structural learning in artificial neural network in which both the architecture and its parameters are learned simultaneously. The method utilizes two neural operators, namely, neuron creation and neuron removal, to aid in structural learning. The method creates excess neurons by starting from a disparate network for each task. Through the progress of training, corresponding task neurons in a layer pave the way for a specialized group neuron leading to a structural change. In the task learning phase of training, different neurons specialize in different tasks. In the interleaved structural learning phase, locally similar task neurons, before being removed, transfer their knowledge to a newly created group neuron. The training is completed with a final fine-tuning phase where only the multi-task loss is used.
