Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to predicting temporal startup measurements using a machine-trained model. The system determines a training dataset of features associated with different funding, exit, and closure events and corresponding times of the funding, exit, and closure events from historical financial data. A temporal prediction model is trained using the training dataset. The temporal prediction model can comprise a recurrent neural network (e.g., gated recurrent unit). During runtime, the system accesses new data associated with potential future investment opportunities with startups and determines (e.g., compute) company features based, in part, on the new data. The system applies the company features to the temporal prediction model to simultaneously predict a next event and a time of the next event for each startup. A user interface can then be presented that shows the predicted next event and the predicted time of the predicted next event for each startup.

  • Publication number: 20230404594
Abstract: A system includes a clip, a first control member, and an adapter including a channel extending from a proximal end to a distal end. The clip includes a base portion mounted over a periphery of the adapter and arms extending distally from the portion. The arms are movable relative to one another between insertion and initial deployed configurations. The first member is releasably coupled to the portion and is movably connected to the adapter so that a longitudinal movement of the first member relative to the adapter moves the clip between the insertion configuration, the initial deployed configuration, and a review configuration. The first member is operable to retract the clip proximally over the adapter toward the insertion configuration so that the arms is forced open as the clip is retracted over the adapter freeing the clip from tissue on which it had been clipped.

  • Publication number: 20230409441
Abstract: A disclosed framework enables virtually any aggressive Recovery Point Objective (RPO) to be enforced for a production database, without limitation on type of database management system (DBMS) or size of the production database. The framework overcomes technological barriers of the prior art, such as bottlenecks presented by a storage manager computer that traditionally managed database backups. To avoid the bottlenecks, an illustrative data storage management system does not engage the storage manager computer in storage operations that could impact the database RPO. Certain components are added and enhanced to autonomously capture database transaction logs, which are stored securely and persistently away from the DBMS. In a separate and less frequent operation, and with involvement of the storage manager computer, the illustrative system generates secondary copies in their final form. Meanwhile, temporary backup files can be used in restore operations without first being converted into secondary copies.

  • Publication number: 20230413226
Abstract: Techniques described herein provide for a mobile device communicating a timing quality metric related to an uplink (UL) signal for UL and/or downlink-uplink (DL-UL) positioning techniques. The timing quality metric can be indicative of an accuracy of the transmission timing of one or more reference signals (e.g., in relation to a downlink (DL) signal or other UL reference signal) and may be communicated using an indexed and/or enumerated value. This information can be included as an information element (IE) in a report provided by the mobile device to a receiving network entity or location server.

  • Publication number: 20230406282
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to repositioning a rooftop sensor of an autonomous vehicle when needed to reduce the overall height of the autonomous vehicle. For instance, while an autonomous vehicle is being controlled in an autonomous driving mode, a low clearance zone may be identified. An activation location may be determined based on the low clearance zone and a current speed of the autonomous vehicle. Once the activation location is reached by the autonomous vehicle, a motor may be caused to reposition the rooftop sensor. In addition, in some instances, after the autonomous vehicle has passed the low clearance zone, the motor may be caused to reposition the rooftop sensor again.

  • Publication number: 20230409437
Abstract: Writers participating in a backup are identified. A mapping is generated between the writers and associated files. The mapping includes file properties. The mapping is initialized by tagging the writers with a full backup tag. A base backup copy of the writers is created by conducting a full backup of each writer tagged with the full backup tag. At a current backup operation after creating the base backup, a list of current files that will participate in the current backup operation is generated. The list of current files is compared against the files in the mapping to determine whether a particular writer associated with a current file should be tagged with the full backup tag or an incremental backup tag. The particular writer is tagged with the incremental backup tag when file properties associated with the current file have changed.

  • Publication number: 20230410833
Abstract: A speech-capture device can capture audio data during wakeword monitoring and use the audio data to determine if a user is present nearby the device, even if no wakeword is spoken. Audio such as speech, human originating sounds (e.g., coughing, sneezing), or other human related noises (e.g., footsteps, doors closing) can be used to detect audio. Audio frames are individually scored as to whether a human presence is detected in the particular audio frames. The scores are then smoothed relative to nearby frames to create a decision for a particular frame. Presence information can then be sent according to a periodic schedule to a remote device to create a presence “heartbeat” that regularly identifies whether a user is detected proximate to a speech-capture device.

  • Publication number: 20230409983
Abstract: In one embodiment, a controller for a federated learning system identifies a first dataset and a second dataset available to a particular node of the federated learning system. The first dataset comprises features that are common to all nodes of the federated learning system. The second dataset comprises features that are common only to a subset of nodes of the federated learning system. The controller configures the particular node to train a first model using the first dataset. The controller causes formation of a global model in the federated learning system that aggregates the first model from the particular node with models from all other nodes of the federated learning system. The controller configures the particular node to train a second model using the second dataset.

  • Publication number: 20230409227
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or computing devices are provided for resilient replication of storage operations. For example, a first storage controller may host first storage having a replication relationship with second storage hosted by a second storage controller. To improve resiliency against transient network issues of a network between the storage controllers, the first storage controller may implement a queue and retry mechanism to retry replication operations not acknowledge back by the second storage controller within a threshold time. The second storage controller may maintain a cumulative sequence number of a latest replication operation performed in order, an operation response map of replication operations performed out of order, and an operation finder map identifying currently implemented replication operations, which may be used to process incoming replication operations. Single write semantics, write order consistency, and reduction of write amplification may be provided.
