  • Publication number: 20230379270
Abstract: Techniques and architecture are described that utilize switchport protected flags to provide switchport protected functionality across network devices, e.g., switches, routers, etc., in fabric networks. For example, a first port of a first network device of a fabric network receives a packet from a first host destined for a second host. The second host is onboarded to the fabric network via a second port of a second network device. It is determined (i) if a first protected flag associated with the first port of the first network device is set as true and (ii) if a second protected flag associated with the second host is set as true. Based at least in part on (i) the first protected flag associated with the first port being set as true and (ii) the second protected flag being set as true, the first network device drops the packet.

  • Publication number: 20230376364
Abstract: Solutions for enabling lower privilege users (e.g., applications, virtualized computing environment applications such as virtual machines or containers) to perform requests for service (e.g., remote procedure calls) that require higher privilege include: receiving, by a relay service executing at a first privilege level, from an application executing at a lower privilege level, a received request for service. The first privilege level is sufficient for the request, however, the application's privilege level is insufficient. The relay service determines whether the application is authorized to perform the request by comparing the application identity and the request with privilege exception information (e.g., a list of application identities and corresponding requests that are subject to privilege exception). If the application's request is authorized, the relay service relays the request (e.g.

Abstract: An inflation valve arrangement includes an actuation cavity housing connected to a pneumatic valve, the actuation cavity housing comprising an actuation cavity and a piston rod extending from the actuation cavity at least partially into a main fluid channel of the pneumatic valve in an initially extended position for securing the pneumatic valve in a closed position. The arrangement further comprises a solenoid actuated pressure cartridge connected to the actuation cavity housing. The solenoid actuated pressure cartridge comprises a self-contained source of actuation gas. In response to the solenoid actuated pressure cartridge being energized, the solenoid operated pressure cartridge is configured to release the actuation gas from the pressure cavity into the actuation cavity, thereby retracting the piston rod into the actuation cavity, and opening the pneumatic valve body to release a source of inflation gas to an inflation device.

  • Publication number: 20230376476
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling admission of transactional operations for execution are provided. An admission queue configured to control admission to an LSM tree can receive a plurality of work items corresponding to a plurality of tuples. The plurality of work items can be queued in the admission queue for execution based on the plurality of tuples. Indications of a capacity of the LSM tree and a size of each work item of the plurality of work items can be determined. A plurality of tokens configured to enable admission of the plurality of work items to the LSM tree can be generated based on the indications of the capacity of the LSM tree and the size of each work item. Based on the plurality of tokens, a work item of the plurality of work items can be admitted from the admission queue to the LSM tree.

  • Publication number: 20230376677
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a document summarization framework that employs an ensemble of summarization models, each of which is a modified version of a base summarization model to control hallucination. For example, a base summarization model may first be trained on a full training data set. The trained base summarization model is then fine-tuned using a first filtered subset of the training data which contains noisy data, resulting in an “anti-expert” model. The parameters of the anti-expert model are subtracted from the parameters of the trained base model to produce a final summarization model which yields robust factual performance.

  • Publication number: 20230377810
Abstract: A method of making a multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) electrode is a deposition-based method for growing MWCNTs on copper (Cu) foils to make binder-free electrodes for energy storage devices, such as those used in batteries and supercapacitors. A chromium layer is sputter coated on a copper foil substrate, and a nickel catalyst layer is sputter coated on the chromium layer, such that the chromium layer forms an electrically conductive barrier layer between the nickel catalyst layer and the copper foil substrate. The multi-walled carbon nanotubes are then formed on the copper foil substrate using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition.

  • Publication number: 20230379365
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device receives traffic flow information regarding an application programming interface call made to a particular endpoint via a path in a network. The device requests, based on the traffic flow information, that a plurality of distributed agents in the network perform a trace of the path taken by the application programming interface call. The device receives results from the trace of the path performed by the plurality of distributed agents. The device causes a security policy to be enforced with respect to application programming interface calls made to the particular endpoint, based on the results from the trace.
