Abstract: In a method an Intelligent Data Conversion (IDC) engine of a dataflow system detects a stage transition of a dataflow application executing on the dataflow system. In response, the IDC engine determines that data among stage data of the application has a first Stage Data Format (SDF). The IDC engine determines that a first processing unit of the dataflow system can process data having a second SDF and determines a data conversion to convert data among the stage data to have the second SDF. The IDC engine also determines a second processing unit, of the dataflow system to perform the data conversion and dispatches the second processing unit to perform the data conversion. The dataflow computing system can include a runtime processor and the IDC engine can interact with the runtime processor to detect the stage transition and/or dispatch the first processing unit.

  • Publication number: 20230386564
Abstract: An in-memory computation circuit includes a memory array with SRAM cells connected in rows by word lines and in columns by bit lines. A row controller circuit simultaneously actuates word lines in parallel for an in-memory compute operation. A column processing circuit includes a read circuit that operates to reduce sensitivity to variation in bit line read current. Additionally, a testing circuit senses analog signals on the complementary bit lines to identify one of the complementary bit lines as having a less variable read current. That identified one of the complementary bit lines is coupled to the read circuit for the in-memory compute operation.

  • Publication number: 20230386610
Abstract: A protein language natural language processing (NLP) system is trained to predict binding affinity. Amino acids of proteins are tokenized and masked. A first neural network is trained on TCR sequences and epitope sequences in an unsupervised or self-supervised manner. The information obtained from the first phase of training is applied in a subsequent training operation via transfer learning, to a second neural network. An annotated compact dataset is used to fine-tune the second neural network in a second phase of training, and in a supervised manner, to predict biophysiochemical properties of proteins, including TCR-epitope binding.

Abstract: Systems described herein may dynamically add one or more proxy data protection agents to a cloud data storage system to process a data protection job. Upon completion of the job or at some other appropriate interval, the system can power down and decommission the proxy data protection agents and/or the virtual machines on which the data protection proxies reside according to a cleanup schedule (e.g., at hourly or minute intervals). In order to improve the allocation of computing resources, the system takes into account currently existing proxies or virtual machines when processing a backup request to determine the need for new proxies to service the backup request. In this manner the system can save costs and computing resources through efficient virtual machine deployment and retirement.
