Abstract: An electronic cash register includes an automatic registration instruction key for instructing an automatic registration operation wherein registration operation related to plural commodities is automatically conducted by the single actuation of the automatic registration instruction key. A preset system is provided for presetting desired operation sequence into a memory system. The automatic registration operation is conducted in accordance with the operation sequences stored in the memory system.

Abstract: An electronic cash register includes a PLU instruction key for conducting the PLU (price look-up) function, and department keys for introducing the department information. A memory system is provided for presetting a desired PLU code to each of the department keys. When a desired department key is actuated in the direct PLU mode registration operation, the preset PLU code is read out to look up the unit cost stored in the memory area corresponding to the read out PLU code.

Abstract: An electronic cash register includes a transaction data memory having 24 (twenty-four) memory sections each of which is assigned to store the transaction amount registered in a preselected one hour. A selection system is associated with each of the memory sections for selecting a desired memory section in the transaction data memory. The transaction data stored in the selected memory section is applied to a printer system, whereby the transaction data stored in the selected memory section is printed onto a journal paper and/or a receipt slip for administration purposes.
