  • Publication number: 20240347795
Abstract: A battery monitoring device monitors a battery that is rechargeable and dischargeable. The battery monitoring device includes a factor monitoring unit that monitors a factor that leads to an abnormal heat generation phenomenon in which a temperature of the battery continues to rise unintentionally, and an abnormality detection unit that detects an abnormality in the battery. The abnormality detection unit reduces occurrence of the abnormal heat generation phenomenon in advance based on a monitoring result of the factor, and detects an abnormal state occurring in the battery at an initial stage of the occurrence of the abnormal heat generation phenomenon to implement a countermeasure against the abnormal heat generation phenomenon based on a detection result of the abnormal state.

  • Publication number: 20240345173
Abstract: A battery monitoring device monitors a battery. The battery monitoring device includes a deterioration detection unit that detects a physical quantity having a higher correlation with a capacity deterioration of the battery than a voltage and a current of the battery, and a capacity ratio estimation unit that estimates a capacity ratio of the battery based on the physical quantity.

  • Publication number: 20240345169
Abstract: A battery monitoring system includes a monitoring unit that monitors a battery and a higher device that is provided with monitoring data obtained by monitoring of the battery by the monitoring unit and saves, by using a blockchain, at least part of specific information included in the monitoring data. The higher device includes a block generation unit that generates a new block including a hash value based on the at least part of the specific information and a last block linked at an end of the blockchain, and an external communication device configured to save, in a distributed manner in a plurality of external devices, the new block generated by the block generation unit. At least one of the monitoring unit or the higher device is provided with a data protection unit configured to ensure reliability of the monitoring data.

  • Publication number: 20240345174
Abstract: A battery monitoring device monitors a lithium precipitation amount in a lithium ion battery. The battery monitoring device includes a precipitation amount detection unit that has a short circuit for discharging the lithium ion battery by temporarily shorting both ends of the lithium ion battery. The lithium precipitation amount detection unit calculates an estimation value of the lithium precipitation amount based on a change in at least one of current or voltage when both the ends of the lithium ion battery is shorted by the short circuit. The battery monitoring device includes a temperature sensor that detects a battery temperature of the lithium ion battery.
