  • Patent number: 6662451
Abstract: Hedge shears has a pair of hands, a pair of blades and a rotatable connector secured between the handles and the blades. Each handle has a handle drive slot and each blade has a blade drive slot. The rotatable connector consists of two connecting plates. Each connecting plate has an elongated hole defined in the connecting plate and has a transverse abutting plate formed on an edge of the connecting plate adjacent to the transverse abutting plate of the other connecting plate. A pivot hole is defined in each abutting plate, and a shaft passes through the pivot holes. Two shaft hubs hold opposite ends of the shaft, and a pin secured under each hub passes through the drive slots in the handles or the blades. The blades are able to rotate around the shaft and be operated by the handles by moving the shaft longitudinally.

  • Publication number: 20030177644
Abstract: A tree pruner has a support rod, a cutting set and pull cord. The cutting set is mounted on the top end of the support rod and has a fixed blade, a moving blade and a driving lever. The fixed blade is securely connected to the top end of the support rod and has multiple fixed teeth formed on an edge of the fixed blade. The cutting blade is pivotally attached to the fixed blade. The driving lever is pivotally attached to one end of the cutting blade and has multiple moving teeth formed on the driving lever to engage with the fixed teeth on the fixed blade. With such a cutting set, the travel of pulling the pull cord can be increased, such that the cutting set can cut off with ease a tree part with a large diameter.

  • Patent number: 6361002
Abstract: A telescoping rod includes a first end piece and a positioning seat pivotally mounted on the first end piece. An external rod is securely attached to the positioning seat. A polygonal shaft has one end securely mounted in and engaged to the first end piece. The polygonal shaft extends through the first end piece, the positioning seat and the external rod. A second end piece is movably received in the external rod and has a bottom. The second end piece is penetrated and driven by said polygonal shaft. A block eccentrically extends from the bottom of the second end piece. An elliptical sleeve is mounted on the second end piece and has a through hole defined to receive the block. The through hole of the elliptical sleeve has a diameter greater than that of the block of the second end piece and forms a gap between the elliptical sleeve and the block of the second end piece. The elliptical sleeve is driven to press against an interior, periphery of the external rod by the block of the second end piece.

  • Patent number: 6179514
Abstract: A telescopic tube joint has a sleeve, which is adapted to securely coupling an outer tube and an inner tube, and defines a locking chamber therein. At least two locking rings are received in the locking chamber of the sleeve, the locking rings are forced apart by a biasing member between the locking rings and cause the locking rings to press on the outer wall of the inner tube to hold the inner tube in place with respect to the outer tube. When a user squeezes the locking rings, the inner tube will slide freely in the outer tube.
