  • Publication number: 20080007686
Abstract: An exemplary liquid crystal panel (2) includes a first substrate (21), a second substrate (23) opposite to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer (25) sandwiched between the first and second substrates, and a sealant (27) provided at the first substrate and attaching the first and second substrates together. The sealant has a plurality of conductive beads (270) mixed therein. The conductive beads electrically interconnect the first and second substrates. Because the conductive beads are mixed in the sealant, the conductive beads do not influence a uniformity of a height of the sealant. Therefore, the liquid crystal panel can provide a good quality display. Furthermore, the process of mixing the conductive beads in the sealant is simpler than a conventional process of applying conductive beads onto an outside of a sealant. Thus, the method for fabricating the liquid crystal panel is simplified.

  • Publication number: 20070236644
Abstract: An exemplary liquid crystal panel (11) includes a first mother substrate (210), a second mother substrate (220) opposite to the first mother substrate, sealant (230), and conductive adhesive (240). The sealant is discontinuously provided at the first mother substrate, thereby defining a plurality of gaps (232) in the sealant. The conductive adhesive is filled in the gaps. When the second mother substrate is attached onto the first mother substrate and pressed, only a minimal amount of conductive adhesive expands beyond the outer boundary of the sealant. Therefore a subsequent step of cutting or splitting the mother liquid crystal panel into liquid crystal panels is unencumbered by any unwanted collateral conductive adhesive bonding. Moreover, because the sizes of the portions of the conductive adhesive can be configured as desired, it is relatively easy to mix the metal beads in the sealant to prepare the conductive adhesive.

  • Publication number: 20070091244
Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel (20) includes a first substrate (200) with a black matrix (240) disposed on an inner surface therefore, a second substrate (220), and an opaque sealant (280) disposed around the black matrix and combined the first and second substrates together. The opaque sealant and the edge of the black matrix cooperatively prevent from light leakage in a peripheral region of a pixel region of the liquid crystal display panel. According to this configuration, the liquid crystal display panel ensures that the sealant can be completely cured during the manufacturing process, and the efficient utilization of the substrate is higher.

  • Publication number: 20060215105
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device (10) includes a first substrate (11), a second substrate (19) opposite to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer (17) interposed between the first and second substrates, a sealant (18) disposed between and at a peripheral region of the liquid crystal display device between the first and second substrates for sealing a space between the first and second substrates and the sealant, and a photo spacer pattern (15) having a plurality of photo spacers (151, 152, 153). The photo spacers are formed within the space and outside the sealant at peripheral portions of the first and second substrates. The photo spacers are provided to ensure that the liquid crystal display device has a consistent cell gap.

  • Publication number: 20060197902
Abstract: A liquid crystal display substrate (100) includes a base portion (110), an alignment layer (118) provided on the base portion, and a peripheral sealant adhering structure (114) provided on the base portion at a periphery of the alignment layer. The sealant adhering structure includes a filler layer. Because the alignment layer and the filler layer are exactly or at least substantially flush, when the alignment layer is rubbed, few if any abnormities occur at peripheral edge portions of the alignment layer that are adjacent an inmost extremity of the filler layer. In particular, few if any so-called stripes are formed at the peripheral edge portions of the alignment layer. Therefore, the quality of the LCD substrate and of a display of the LCD are improved.

  • Publication number: 20060139518
Abstract: An exemplary LCD panel (40) includes a first substrate (41) and a second substrate (42) opposite to each other, and a plurality of main sealants (43), a dummy sealant (44), and one or more dividing lines provided at one of the first and second substrates. The dummy sealant surrounds the main sealants. The dividing lines intersect the dummy sealant, the dummy sealant thereby define a plurality of overlap portions. And liquid crystal is disposed within each of the main sealants. A plurality of shielding portions (423) is provided at one of the first and second substrates, the shielding portions is positioned corresponding to the overlapped portions. With this configuration, it will be easier to cut the LCD panel into unit cells. Further, the LCD panel eliminates the need for mask, this decreases the costs thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050280765
Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel (1) includes an upper substrate (300) and a lower substrate (100) opposite to each other, a liquid crystal layer (200) interposed between the upper and lower substrates. A plate sealing adhesive (400) is applied to an interface between the upper plate and the lower plate, and encircling the liquid crystal layer. The plate sealing adhesive defines an opening (403) therein; and an electrically conductive adhesive (500) is applied in the opening. A method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display panel is also disclosed. The plate sealing adhesive can be evenly distributed.

  • Publication number: 20050062414
Abstract: An organic electroluminescence display package includes an organic electroluminescence element (30), a frame (40), and a transparent liquid (56). The organic electroluminescence element has a transparent electrically-conductive substrate (302), an organic electroluminescence layer (306), and a cathode (308). The frame includes a sealant layer (402) and a transparent top cover (404), and the transparent liquid is used to prevent moisture and oxygen from permeating the package. The transparent electrically-conductive substrate, the organic electroluminescence layer and the cathode are stacked from bottom to top in that order. The transparent top cover is mounted on the transparent electrically-conductive substrate via the sealant layer to form an airtight cavity (54), and the transparent liquid is filled in the airtight cavity. The package has the advantages of sufficient permeability and compactness.

  • Publication number: 20050046778
Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel (10) includes a first substrate (11), a second substrate (13), a first seal pattern (111), a liquid crystal layer (15), and a second seal pattern (113). The second substrate is spaced apart from the first substrate. The first seal pattern interconnects the first substrate and the second substrate, and defines a cell area therebetween. The liquid crystal layer is accommodated in the cell area. The second seal pattern encloses the first seal pattern, and is spaced a distance (D) therefrom. Each of the first and second seal patterns is a continuous body. The liquid crystal display panel has the first substrate and the second substrate securely combined together by use of the dual seal patterns. The space between the first seal pattern and the second seal pattern can be a vacuum. The vacuum can strengthen the combination of the first substrate with the second substrate.
