  • Publication number: 20200278723
Abstract: Examples herein relate to a hinge. In some examples, a hinge can include a first bracket connected to a shaft, a second bracket connected to the first bracket, a member connected to the shaft and magnetically attracted to a magnet at a first position, where the member translates relative to the magnet to a second position as the shaft rotates about an axis of the shaft, and the magnet to generate a magnetic attraction force between the member and the magnet, where the magnetic attraction force is higher at the second position than the first position.

  • Patent number: 10271785
Abstract: A method of controlling an anti-snoring device is disclosed. The method includes the steps of capturing sound data within a period of time, sampling the sound data continuously, extracting multiple sound characteristic sections arising periodically from the sound data, and activating the anti-snoring device to stop snoring when the repeated occurrence count of the sound characteristic sections reach a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 6837610
Abstract: A bioprocess container consists of a flexible container, placed inside a heat exchanger. By providing a disposable agitation device inside the sealed container, a filled container can be stirred without having to open the container. Possible agitation elements include traditional stirrers, rotating magnetic rods, bladder devices integral with the structure of the container, as well as different devices for manipulating the shape of the sealed container. Finally, a containment disk is used to ensure that the magnetic rod is maintained in the magnetic field.

  • Patent number: 6422357
Abstract: A braking apparatus for imparting constant mechanical torque to effect a braking action is capable of operating in a constant, smooth, and adjustable manner, yet operates essentially independent of friction and temperature, as well as independent of rotational speed. The braking apparatus includes a hub assembly having a hub, a collar, a plurality of torsional springs, a spring cap, a spring bushing, and damping means, and a sprocket assembly having a sprocket, a hub bearing, a retaining ring, and a plurality of roller assemblies each of which has a roller. The sprocket assembly is rotatably connected to the hub assembly by a hub assembly spring, a sprocket assembly spring, an adjustment cap, and an adjustment means. The apparatus provides braking by releasably contacting at least one of each of the rollers with at least one of each of the torsional springs so as to deflect and then release the torsional spring as the sprocket assembly rotates about the hub assembly.
