    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing 1,5-pentanediol via hydrogenolysis of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol. The catalyst used in the method is prepared by supporting a noble metal and a promoter on an organic polymer supporter or an inorganic hybrid material supporter, wherein the supporter is functionalized by a nitrogen-containing ligand. When the catalyst is used in the hydrogenolysis of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol to prepare 1,5-pentanediol, a good reaction activity and a high selectivity can be achieved. The promoter and the nitrogen-containing ligand in the supporter are bound to the catalyst through coordination, thereby the loss of the promoter is significantly decreased, and the catalyst has a particularly high stability. The lifetime investigation of the catalyst, which has been reused many times or used continuously for a long term, suggests that the catalyst has no obvious change in performance, thus reducing the overall process production cost.

The method can further include fabricating a mask based on the modified IC design layout. The OPC can select an OPC model based on the classification of the IC pattern. The OPC model can weight the target placement model.

The OPC process may use the topographical information of the underlying layer to compensate for an amount of radiation directed towards the portion of the photoresist so as to expose the portion of the photoresist to a target dosage of radiation.

    Abstract: A wireless communication system may support two types of networks, such as a 4th-Generation (4G) network and a 5th-Generation (5G) network. The 4G network is accessed through Long-Term Evolution (LTE) base stations. The 5G network is accessed through New Radio (NR) base stations. LTE base stations are configured to broadcast information regarding 5G availability. For example, an LTE base station may indicate whether it is configured to support Non-Standalone Architecture (NSA) Dual Connectivity in conjunction with an associated NR base station. When a communication device receives an indication that NSA Dual Connectivity is available, the communication device scans and measures signal strengths on each of multiple frequencies that are potentially being used by the NR base station. This can be done without decoding of the signals. If a signal having a sufficient signal strength is found, the communication device displays a 5G symbol in its status bar.
