Abstract: An electronic device having a radiation element having a feed point, a parasitic element having a ground point, an extension portion extending from one end of the parasitic element, and a proximity sensing unit in communication with the extension portion. A reactive element, e.g., a radio frequency choke, is connected between the proximity sensing unit and the extension portion and enables the proximity sensing unit to employ at least the parasitic element and the extension portion as sensing pads to sense the proximity of an object to the electronic device.

Abstract: An electronic device having a radiation part and a metallic frame is provided. The radiation part is L-shaped, and includes a feeding branch and an open branch. The metallic frame includes a first metallic part and a second metallic part. The first metallic part is L-shaped, wherein a first side of the first metallic part is near the open branch of the radiation part, and a first gap exists therebetween. The second metallic part is L-shaped, wherein an open terminal of a first side of the second metallic part is aligned with an open terminal of the first side of the first metallic part, and a second gap exists therebetween. The radiation part and the metallic frame forms an antenna to transceive a plurality of radio frequency signals.

Abstract: A wireless communication device including an antenna element and a resonant divider is provided. The antenna element has a resonant path so that an operation frequency of the antenna element covers a first band and a second band. The resonant divider is electrically connected to the antenna element and provides a current path connected in parallel with a part of the resonant path. The resonant divider delays a current flowing through the current path so that the antenna element is incapable of covering an interval band between the first band and the second band.

Abstract: A multi-band antenna including a ground plane, a radiation element, a first extension element and a second extension element is provided. The radiation element includes a first portion and a second portion electrically connected with each other. The first portion has a feeding point. The first and the second extension elements are extended from the ground plane. The first extension element and the first portion are spaced by a first coupling distance. The second extension element and the second portion are spaced by a second coupling distance. The multi-band antenna is operated in a first band through the radiation element. A feeding signal from the radiation element excites the first and the second extension elements through the first and the second coupling distances so that the multi-band antenna is operated further in a second band and a third band.

Abstract: A mobile device includes a dielectric substrate, a ground plane, an RF (Radio Frequency) module, an antenna structure, a bypass inductor, matching circuits, and a switch circuit. The antenna structure includes a first radiation element and a second radiation element. The first end of the first radiation element is connected to the RF module, and the second end of the first radiation element is open. The second radiation element is separate from the first radiation element. The first end of the second radiation element is open and adjacent to the first radiation element, and the second end of the second radiation element is connected through the bypass inductor to the ground plane. The switch circuit selects one of the matching circuits according to a control signal. The second end of the second radiation element is further connected through the selected matching circuit to the ground plane.

Abstract: An AC power supply testing method upon booting a main board is provided. The testing method is applied to a main board, a microprocessor is in connection with the main board, and a relay is connected with the microprocessor, an AC power supply and a system power supply of the main board. The testing method includes steps of (1) configuring a system power on/off time of the microprocessor; (2) counting down the system power on/off time; (3) determining the current state of the relay; (4) shutting off the relay and resuming executing step (1) if the current state is ON; and (5) executing a power supply testing upon booting if the current state is OFF.

Abstract: A straight line template has a piece of plate with an array of bulged members arranged equal-spaced in both rows and columns on a front side thereof. The space between the adjacent rows or columns of the bulged members is formed as a layout area for drawing horizontal or vertical straight lines therealong. When a user utilizes a writing implement to draw on a sheet of paper covered on the front side of the straight line template, a pen point of the writing implement is pressed on the paper and forced towards the layout area to stroke a straight line on the paper along the layout area in a horizontal or a vertical coordinate of the plane plate. Therefore horizontal and vertical straight lines are easily drawn on the paper by utilizing the straight line template without any additional tools.

The top lid connects with the seat. A groove is installed on the top edge of the top lid. The air-pumping unit is installed between the seat and the top lid to draw out the air inside the container unidirectionally by the pressing and releasing of an air-pumping button. The indicating unit has a retractable pump. One end of the retractable pump connects with the seat. The retractable pump connects with the inside of the container. The other end of the retractable pump connects with a rack. The rack is meshed with a gear. The gear is pivotably installed on the seat. The gear fixedly joins a pointer installed in the groove of the top lid. A scale is installed on the groove. Thereby articles can be superposed on the cover body, the vacuum degree of the vacuum pot can be known exactly, and the user can operate using only one hand.

Abstract: A bundling strap assembly includes a strap for surrounding articles to be packed and a buckle for securing the strap. The strap has two rows of through holes defined along a longitudinal direction of the strap, a reinforcement rib formed between the two rows of the through holes and a plurality of bosses formed on both major surfaces of the strap for engaging with the articles to be packed. The buckle has a central through opening defined therein and two latching elements resiliently and respectively connected to two opposite inner faces defining the through opening. Each of the two latching elements is connected to the corresponding inner face at one end thereof and has two rows of single direction teeth protruding inward from an inner surface thereof to engage with the through holes defined at two ends of the strap and thereby securing the strap.

Abstract: A key-chain with a perpetual calendar constructed in accordance with the present invention includes a body having a central recess, a plate securely mated with the body within the central recess and having at least two substantially "L" shaped openings, a first numbered area provided between the two opposing openings, a second area with numbers of months, a third area with a number of a specific year, and a frame slidably received within the openings with a pair of legs provided on respective sides corresponding to the openings. Furthermore, a specific picture may be inserted into the space between the body and the plate, before the plate is put into the central recess of the body.

Abstract: A tying device, including a binding strip, which has a plurality of blocking incisions on one side arranged along the longitudinal direction, and a lock head with a lead opening, having two locking plates extending from opposite inner walls into the interior, wherein the locking plates each have a plurality of locking pawls. The improvement is: The blocking incisions are arranged in two rows on one side of the binding strip, wherein the two rows are separated by a ridge. The locking pawls on the locking plates each have a slot cut in the middle so as to accommodate the ridge on the binding strip. The shape of the locking pawls fits the shape of the blocking incisions, thereby attaining a blocking effect.

The second ridge formed on a slide is slidably engageable in the second groove defined in another slide. The ridge formed on the flange formed on the cylindrical wall of the cup is slidably engageable in the first grooves defined in the slides.

Abstract: A bundling strap dispenser includes a housing, a trigger pivotally mounted in the housing and is manually operable from outside, a cutting blade pivotally mounted in the housing and actuatable by the trigger, a retaining member mounted to the cutting blade to pivot therewith for retaining a bundling strap when the bundling strap is being cut, a rib extending horizontally in the upper section of the housing and having an opening through which the retaining element is passable, and a stepped plate mounted above the rib to define a passage therebetween for the bundling strap. The stepped plate further includes a trough for receiving a buckle member therein for engaging with the bundling strap. The trough has a slot in alignment with the opening of the buckle member reloader and a second slot in a bottom side thereof through which the cutting blade is passable to cut the bundling strap after the bundling strap is retained.
