  • Publication number: 20160187743
Abstract: A pixel structure of a transparent LCD panel includes a pixel and liquid crystal molecules. The pixel includes a white sub-pixel and a color sub-pixel. In a transparent display mode, a first alignment region and a second alignment region of the white sub-pixel and a first alignment region and a second alignment region of the color sub-pixel have a transparent display grayscale, and a third alignment region and a fourth alignment region of the color sub-pixel have a non-transparent display grayscale. In an image display mode, the first alignment region and the second alignment region of the white sub-pixel have the non-transparent display grayscale, and the first alignment region, the second alignment region, the third alignment region and the fourth alignment region of the color sub-pixel have an image display grayscale.

  • Publication number: 20160187728
Abstract: A pixel structure of a transparent LCD panel includes an array substrate, a pixel and a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. The pixel comprises a first alignment region and a second alignment region. The liquid crystal molecules are disposed in the pixel. In a transparent display mode, the liquid crystal molecules disposed in the first alignment region and the second alignment region have substantially the same aligning direction. In an image display mode, the liquid crystal molecules disposed in the first alignment region and the second alignment region have different aligning directions.

  • Patent number: 9322977
Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a light guide plate, at least one light source and at least one reflective body. The light guide plate is disposed below the display panel. The light guide plate has a light-incident surface, a light-emitting surface, a rear surface, a plurality of concave microstructures and a plurality of reflective bodies. The rear surface is located farther away from the display panel than the light-emitting surface is. The light-incident surface is connected to the light-emitting surface and the rear surface. The concave microstructures are located on the rear surface. The reflective bodies are respectively located in the concave microstructures. The light source is disposed opposite to the light-incident surface.

  • Publication number: 20150262542
Abstract: A pixel circuit of a liquid crystal display (LCD) has a first switch, a second switch, a third switch, a storage capacitor and a liquid crystal capacitor. The first switch controls electrical connection between a data line and the storage capacitor according to a voltage level of a first gate line. The second switch controls electrical connection between the storage capacitor and the liquid crystal capacitor according to a voltage level of a second gate line. The third switch controls electrical connection between a bias line and the liquid crystal capacitor according to the voltage level of the first gate line. Within each frame period of the LCD, the second switch is turned off while the first switch and the third switch are turned on, and the first switch and the third switch are turned off while the second switch is turned on.
