Abstract: A method for inserting advertisements into a media program and tracking a delivery of the advertisements is provided. The method includes the following steps: (i) generating a request for the media program; (ii) receiving the request from a user device for retrieving a plurality of advertisements; (iii) obtaining a start time and an end time of a plurality of advertisement slots associated with the media program; (iv) selecting advertisements for delivering at the plurality of advertisement slots within the media program; (v) splitting the media program into a plurality of sub-programs; (vi) splitting the advertisements into a plurality of ad chunks; (vii) creating an URL playlist by stitching URL's of the plurality of sub-programs with URL's of the plurality of ad chunks at the plurality of advertisement slots; and (viii) obtaining the URL playlist to fetch and play content associated with each URL in the URL playlist sequentially.

Abstract: A content streaming system includes a streaming server and a cue-point engine is provided. The streaming server receives a request from a user for a multimedia content, obtains a broadcast content including the multimedia content and static advertisements, and obtains a device parameter, a network parameter, and/or user information. The cue-point engine obtains pre-defined start time and pre-defined end time of pre-defined advertisement slots of the broadcast content from a data source. The cue-point engine further analyses audio signatures or encoding parameters of data packets of the broadcast content and identifies actual start time and actual end time of each of the pre-defined advertisement slots. The streaming server further receives real-time advertisements, replaces a plurality of static advertisements occur in between an actual start time and an actual end time of an advertisement slot with the real-time advertisements, and streams broadcast content to a user device.

Abstract: This invention discloses a system for in-stream advertising on an internet connected device comprising: at least a media streaming server adapted to stream media content in relation to a request from said internet connected device, said media streaming server further adapted to read and stream a concatenated file containing said media content and in-stream advertisement, on said internet connected device, in a single request from said internet connected device; at least an adinsert module adapted to concatenate said fetched advertisement and said media content; and at least a file writer configured to write said concatenated file containing fetched said media content and said in-stream advertisement in a single file in order to enable said media streaming server to read and stream said concatenated file on said internet connected device in a seamless manner.
