The first light condenser unit defines an optical axis and a hole disposed along the optical axis. The first light condenser unit, the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit are sequentially arranged along the optical axis. The light is emitted by the light emitting unit, passes through the hole, reaches an object, is reflected by the object, is converged by the first light condenser unit and is received by the light receiving unit to generate an electrical signal.

Abstract: An image reading device for reading an image of an object includes a multi-color light source which projects light rays with at least three colors onto the object, at least three monochrome image sensor rows, and at least a lens row provided between the object and the monochrome image sensor rows, wherein reflected light rays are imaged directly onto the monochrome image sensor rows through the lens row, and wherein switching between any two colors occurs only once every time the multi-color light source, the image sensor rows, and the lens row are moved for a predetermined distance. The image reading device is able to read color and monochrome images.

Abstract: A document feeding device for handling and reverting double-sided document sheets to an original sequence is provided, including a housing unit and a switching unit. The housing unit includes a delivery passage, a flipping passage, a bypass area, a return passage and upper and lower turning passages. The switching unit, pivotally disposed in the bypass area, includes a first switching member, a second switching member connecting to a side of the first switching member, and a guiding passage between the first switching member and the second switching member. The switching unit switches between a first position and a second position. By the switching of the switching unit, the double-sided document is flipped, scanned and reverted to an original sequence.

The illumination module includes a light source having a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a linear array and a light guide device. The light guide device receives light from the light source and generates uniform light which is transmitted onto an article to be scanned, has a longitudinal direction, and includes a diffraction structure and a reflection portion. The diffraction structure has a shape inducing light to be scattered and deflects the scattered light toward the longitudinal direction. The reflection portion reflects the light scattered and deflected by the diffraction structure, and is inclined to have an inclined angle with the light propagating direction. In addition, the reflection portion is formed on the diffraction structure or apart from it.
