  • Publication number: 20150343811
Abstract: A tension adjusting mechanism for a toothed belt for driving a printer head of an inkjet printer is disclosed. The tension adjusting mechanism includes a housing secured to a frame of the printer. An electromagnet is secured to the housing, and a magnet movably is received in the housing and is repulsed by the electromagnet. A linkage is drivably connected with the magnet and a pulley is drivably connected with the linkage. The toothed belt engages with a circumferential periphery of the pulley. The adjustment of the tension force of the toothed belt is achieved by changing a current applied to the electromagnet to change the repulsive force of the electromagnet acting on the magnet.

  • Patent number: 8695966
Abstract: A paper retrieving mechanism includes a base, a handle movably connected to the base, and a resisting element. The base supports an amount of paper, and defines a first slot. The paper is to be placed over the first slot. The resisting element passes through the first slot, and is connected to the handle. The handle is to be acted upon by an external force to drive the resisting element to move along the first slot to push the paper to move relative to the base.

  • Publication number: 20130321519
Abstract: An inkjet pen assembly includes a mounting bracket, a pen module, a magnet, a wheel, and a driving member. The mounting bracket includes a supporting board and a driving board. The pen module is rotatably mounted to the supporting board. The magnet is located on the pen module. The wheel and the driving member are rotatably mounted to the pen module. A plurality of individually-activated electromagnets is located on an outer edge of the wheel. At least one of the plurality of electromagnets is activated to drive the driving member to rotate by attracting or repelling the magnet. When the driving member is rotated, the driving member pushes the driving board to adjust a distance or an angle of the pen module, relative to the supporting board.

  • Publication number: 20130321547
Abstract: An inkjet printer includes a platform for a print medium, a print-head carriage, and an airflow controller. The print-head carriage defines a plurality of air channels, each of which has an air intake and an air outtake. The air outtake is located on a bottom surface of the print-head carriage and faces the platform and during any movement of the print-head carriage blows airflow towards the print medium, forcing the print medium flat against the platform and thus to the optimal distance for the delivery of ink droplets.

  • Publication number: 20130321502
Abstract: A nozzle position adjusting apparatus includes a rack and a shaft. A first and a second electromagnets are mounted on the rack. A nozzle module is mounted on the shaft. A first and a second mounting blocks are mounted on opposite ends of the shaft. The first mounting block includes a first receiving slot in which a first magnet is mounted. The second mounting block includes a second receiving slot in which a second magnet is mounted. The first electromagnet is inserted in the first receiving slot with like poles of the first electromagnet and the first magnet facing to each other to generate a first repulsive force. The second electromagnet is inserted in the second receiving slot with like poles of the second electromagnet and the second magnet facing to each other to generate a second repulsive force which supports the second mounting block.
