  • Patent number: 6814627
Abstract: A joint connector (JC) has housings (20) with chambers (21) therein. Insertion openings (22) and outlets (23) extend into each chamber (21) at the front end of the housing (20). Terminal fittings (10) are inserted into chambers (21) so that joints (16) of the terminal fittings (10) project forward through outlets (23). A cover (60) is detachably mounted on each housing (20) to protect the joints (16). Insertion holes (72) and insertion paths (73) are formed in the cover (60) and align with the insertion openings (22) of the housing (20). A probe (80) can be inserted through the insertion holes (72) and the insertion paths (73) for contacting the terminal fittings (10) so that an electrical connection test can be performed.

  • Patent number: 6533604
Abstract: Connector terminals are provided to enable connection of electrical cables and connector terminals automatically to prevent the connector terminals from being inserted into sub-harnesses in later stages, and to make circuit modification easier. The connector terminals include respectively a male terminal portion at one end and a female terminal portion at the other end. The respective connector terminals further include a cable-fit portion. The connector terminals are contained in a junction case with top and bottom openings. Electrical cables are then wired in the junction case and fitted into the connector terminals. When several such junction cases are superposed, the male terminal portions fit into the female terminal portions through the openings, and the electrical cables separately wired in different junction cases are connected to one another.

  • Patent number: 6354864
Abstract: A joint connector includes first and second unitary connector assemblies respectively including an insulator plate and a joint terminal fixed thereto. The joint terminal includes unit terminals, each of which includes: a stem portion with first and second faces and side rim portions; a first cramping connector extending from a side rim portion in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first face of the stem portion; and a second cramping connector extending from a third side rim portion in a direction substantially perpendicular to the second face of the stem portion. When the first unitary connector assembly is superposed to the second unitary connector assembly, the second cramping connector of the first unitary connector assembly cramps the second electrical cable, whereby the first electrical cable carried on the first unitary connector assembly can be connected to the second electrical cable carried on the second unitary connector assembly.

  • Patent number: 6315578
Abstract: Wires w-1, w-2 are laid along the inner surfaces of lower and upper casings 11, 12, and are connected with push-in terminals driven into connectors mounted in the lower and upper casings 11, 12. The ends of the wires in the upper and lower casings to be connected at the same lateral side of the casing have their insulating coatings stripped off to expose cores, which are connected with the upper and lower sides of U-shaped connection busbars 10 arranged on the side of the lower and upper casings.

  • Patent number: 5195908
Abstract: A multicircuit cable connector which includes a multicircuit, an insulation layer thereon, and a matching circuit which is placed on the layer. The multicircuit is a plurality of conductive strips which run along the length of the cable. The matching circuit is a means for interconnecting certain of the strips with one another and consists of interconnecting portions carrying terminals thereon. The interconnecting portions extend transversely of the cable and their length and location are determined by the arrangement of conductive strips in the cable and which of them are to be connected to each other. A U-shaped clip of generally channel shape is provided and the bottom thereof is pressed against a multicircuit conductor and the sides extend through the layer and are crimped onto the terminals on the interconnecting portions of the matching circuit, thereby completing the connection.
