  • Patent number: 6256162
Abstract: The present invention relates to a moving picture searching apparatus, where moving picture information recorded can be searched easily when desired moving picture information is picked out. Of single or plural moving picture(s) S2 recorded in predetermined recording medium, moving picture information which meets the condition designated by a user and obtained based on output S1 of input means 2 are searched based on respective index information which has been recorded in the recording medium 6 with respective corresponding moving picture information. On the other hand, after this, when it is confirmed on the basis of the output S1 of the input means that the user designated first operation mode, respective moving picture information S2 picked out by the search are sequentially reproduced at a predetermined timing and displayed on display means 4.

  • Patent number: 5742266
Abstract: An image display device has a control electrode which comprises an X-Y grid assembly composed of planar two-layer conductive grids which define electron passage holes at junctions thereof. The control electrode have capacitive bodies disposed at the junctions for storing a control voltage to control electrons emitted from a planar cathode and having passed through the electron passage holes. A high-voltage electrode applies a high voltage to a planar light emitting layer to attract the electrons that have passed through the electron passage holes and have been controlled by the control voltage, to the planar light emitting layer for emitting light in response to bombardment of the electrons thereon. The electrons are supplied at all times by the control electrode for continuous emission of light from the planar light emitting layer. Since the cathode and the electrodes are of a planar structure, the image display device is lightweight and of a low profile.

  • Patent number: 5500692
Abstract: An image projector apparatus for producing an image for display on a projection screen. The image projector apparatus includes a plurality of first microlenses each receiving light from a light source, a liquid crystal display having a plurality of pixels each adapted to receive light from a respective one of the first microlenses and provide respective image light therefrom in response to image information supplied thereto, a plurality of second microlenses each receiving the image light from a respective one of the pixels and projecting parallel image light therefrom, and a projection lens receiving the parallel image light from each of the second microlenses and projecting the same onto the projection screen. The projection lens may be moved or positioned such that an optical center axis thereof is offset from an image center axis of the liquid crystal display so as to eliminate or minimize a so-called keystone distortion.

  • Patent number: 5379080
Abstract: Parallel rays of light emitted from a light source are reflected at an angle of approximately 90.degree. by a first reflecting mirror toward a liquid crystal panel. The light reflected from the first reflecting mirror is applied to the pixels of the liquid crystal panel through a light guide lens. An image formed on the liquid crystal panel is projected on a second reflecting mirror through an auxiliary projection lens. The second reflecting mirror has a concave surface formed on the lower end portion thereof such that the concave surface gradually changes into a flat surface toward the upper end thereof. Thus, the second reflecting mirror reflects the image projected by the auxiliary projection lens such that the lower end portion of the image is reduced in size by the concave surface of the mirror.

  • Patent number: 5115310
Abstract: In a news program broadcasting system reference codes are assigned to news materials when a cue sheet is prepared and when the news materials are edited. These reference codes are compared with each other when the news materials are transmitted, whereby the news materials are transmitted under simple and reliable control.

  • Patent number: 4979057
Abstract: An automatic cassette loading and reproducing apparatus has main storage bins for storing recorded cassettes for normal use, for example, recorded with regularly scheduled news stories or commercials to be broadcast, auxiliary storage bins for receiving at least one recorded cassette for emergency use, for example, recorded with a late-breaking news story, a cassette transporter for selectively transporting recorded cassettes for normal use and emergency use between the respective storage bins and cassette reproducing devices, such as, VTRs, and a control device, for example, a micro-computer, for controlling the cassette reproducing devices and transporter and being programmed for a normal mode in which the recorded cassettes for normal use are reproduced in a predetermined sequence established in accordance with coded indications on the respective cassettes and an emergency mode in response to mere placement of a cassette for emergency use in one of the auxiliary storage bins, and in which the predetermined

  • Patent number: 4958836
Abstract: In a golf simulator having a housing in which a display and a reproducing device are accommodated, and an arm to the distal end of which a ball is secured, the golf simulator comprises a bed plate which supports a horizontal shaft; a swingable bed rotatable on the horizontal shaft and having another shaft which makes a right angle with the horizontal shaft, and to which the proximal end of the arm is rotatably secured; and drive means for driving the swingable bed so as to enable the shaft of the swingable bed to be selectively in either of a first state in which the shaft inclines with respect to the vertical line and toward approaching to the front side of the housing, and a second state in which the shaft inclines with respect to the vertical line and in the reverse of inclination under the first state.

  • Patent number: 4723283
Abstract: This invention relates to a data transmission system in which information data is shuffled and the data service is received by those who paid the charges.According to this data transmission system, a service data and a key code transmitted from a data base station are received by a decoder provided at the side of a subscriber, in which only when these data are decoded and the key code transmitted coincides with a key code at the receiving side, a particular data service transmitted from the data base station can be received by the subscriber. In the data transmission system of the invention, a control data portion transmitted is shuffled by changing a shuffling pattern by a synchronizing code inserted as part of the control data portion and by arranging the code length of the control data portion to be variable so that the content of data can not be decoded easily.
