  • Publication number: 20060244439
Abstract: A moving object detection device has a magnetic sensor element, a permanent magnet for applying a magnetic field to the magnetic sensor element; a board on which electronic parts are mounted, a holder; and a case. The holder has an integral approximately box-shaped support part to hold the magnet and the board, and the holder is inserted into the case so that the magnetic sensor element, the permanent magnet, and the board are contained in the case. The holder and the case are fitted and fastened to each other by concave-convex-shaped elements.

  • Publication number: 20050033507
Abstract: A GPS-based vehicle navigation system and method for properly displaying direction guide information, which represents a target direction, regardless of forward motion or backward motion. The system calculates the current position of the vehicle, and senses the traveling direction of the vehicle. The operation mode of the system is determined. If the operation mode is a “compass mode”, the orientation of the traveling direction is calculated based on the current position and the traveling direction. On the other hand, if the operation mode is a “NAVI mode”, a target position T separately set is read, and a target direction is calculated based on the current position and the target position T. Next, it is determined whether the motion of the vehicle is forward or backward. If the motion of the vehicle is backward, the direction guide information is corrected by an angle equivalent to 180°.

  • Publication number: 20050027451
Abstract: To provide a vehicle navigation system that can accurately display a position of a vehicle that has the navigation system mounted thereon and a target direction even when the vehicle is stopped or traveling at low speed. The vehicle navigation system includes a device that senses a traveling state of a vehicle, a device that judges whether or not the vehicle is stopped or traveling at a low speed, and a device that smoothes GPS positioning data so that error components contained in the GPS positioning data are canceled out or compensated for when the vehicle is stopped or traveling at a low speed. The navigation system further includes a device that calculates the current position based on the smoothed GPS positioning data. The smoothing device outputs new positioning data, for example, based on current GPS positioning data and previous GPS positioning data.

  • Publication number: 20030023351
Abstract: A meter for a vehicle has a transmission display part for displaying the gear position of a transmission and a driving mode, a speed display part for displaying vehicle speed, and a drive distance display part for displaying drive distance. A display area for selectively displaying only one of a plurality of gear positions is provided in the transmission display part. The meter for a vehicle has excellent visibility in spite of having a small display area. Furthermore, miniaturization of the meter for a vehicle can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6470770
Abstract: In a power system for a vehicle, the line segment L connecting between the center O1 of a driving shaft (speed change shaft) of an oil hydrostatic non-stage transmission and the center O2 of a ball screw (ratio change driving shaft) of a ratio change mechanism is set parallel to the mating plane P of the crank case and the cylinder block, while the axis C2 of a detecting shaft is disposed coaxially with the turning axis C1 of a swash plate holder orthogonal to the line segment L, and, in this condition, a ratio detecting sensor is bolted to an upper wall. Wherein the axis C2 of the detecting shaft is set parallel to the cylinder axis C0, and the machining axis for a crank chamber and the machining axis for a fitting portion for the ratio detecting sensor are set parallel to each other.

  • Patent number: 6471619
Abstract: A variable transmission system includes a continuously variable transmission, a shiftable sub-transmission in series with an output of the continuously variable transmission, and controller. A sensor senses a position of a driver's shift lever, and another sensor senses a gear position of the shiftable sub-transmission. The sensors report to the controller. If both sensors detect reverse drive conditions, the controller adjusts an angle of a swash plate of the continuously variable transmission for the reverse driving direction. If only one of the sensors indicates a rear drive condition, the controller compares an engine speed to a threshold value. If the engine speed exceeds the threshold value, the controller curbs the engine speed by cutting off the ignition.

  • Publication number: 20020061683
Abstract: An electric connector enclosed with an insulating housing (2) and having a plurality of contacts (10) arranged in parallel rows and along internal surfaces (3a) of the insulating housing. Each contact (10) has a contacting portion (11) exposed in the internal surface and a solderable lead end (12) extending outwardly through a bottom (4) of the housing. A bent anchoring portion (13) is formed as a part of each contact and continuing from an upper end of the contacting portion (11) and bent outwardly to reach an external surface (3b) of the insulating housing, so that the bent anchoring portion (13) is embedded in the housing (2) so as to hold the contacts at regular intervals and protect the contact from deviating from the insulating housing.
