  • Patent number: 4679106
Abstract: In a recording and reproducing device to be used with a disc cartridge, a cartridge holder receives the disc cartridge when it is inserted, and moves between an ejecting position and a load position. An eject lever supported by the cartridge holder is rotated when the leading edge of the disc cartridge is brought into contact with an end of the eject lever, and a spring member is provided in combination with the eject lever for urging the eject lever in a direction removing the disc cartridge out of the cartridge holder.

  • Patent number: 4672490
Abstract: In a recording and reproducing device for a magnetic disc, a swingable holder fixedly supports a first magnetic head, while a carriage supporting the holder swingably further supports a second magnetic head in a fixed manner. During a head-load time, the first and second magnetic heads are held in contact with the upper and lower surfaces of the magnetic disc at positions opposite to each other thereby to record or reproduce information to or from the magnetic disc. The recording and reproducing device of the above described construction is further improved by providing a damper device in a moving range of the holder so that the damper device can reduce impact when the first and second magnetic heads are brought into contact with the magnetic disc.

  • Patent number: 4651240
Abstract: In a recording and playback apparatus for a disk cartridge, a loading lever is supported rotatably on a pair of sidewalls, and rotatable between a loading position which it takes when a disk cartridge is inserted into the apparatus and an ejecting position which it takes when the disk cartridge is ejected from the apparatus. A locking member is supported on one of the sidewalls rotatably into engagement with the loading lever to hold it in its ejecting position. A cam plate is also supported on the same sidewall reciprocally movably between its retracted position in which the loading lever is in its ejecting position and its advanced position in which the loading lever is in its loading position. The cam plate has an unlocking device which is engageable with the locking member to disengage it from the loading lever when the cam plate is moved to its advanced position. A locking spring is connected to the locking member for urging it into engagement with the loading lever.

  • Patent number: 4641211
Abstract: A recording and reproducing apparatus has a loading mechanism for loading a disk cartridge, which is inserted in a cartridge holder, between an eject position and an operative load position. The loading mechanism has a load lever which pivots the holder to the load position when the disk cartridge is inserted to push against a portion of a cam plate and move it rearwardly in the apparatus. The apparatus has only one tension spring between the load lever, which is angularly movable between an eject position and a load position, and the cam plate which can bear on the cartridge. The tension spring angularly biases the load lever toward the load position and biases the cam plate toward an opening through which the cartridge is inserted.

  • Patent number: 4635149
Abstract: A recording and reproducing apparatus for a disk cartridge comprises a cartridge holder for holding the disk cartridge which is movable between an eject position and a loading position. A load lever is provided for resiliently urging the cartridge holder toward the loading position, and a movable lock member engageable with the load lever keeps the cartridge holder in the eject position. A cam plate is resiliently urged forwardly and is movable rearwardly by abutting engagement with the disk cartridge. The cam plate has a first engagement portion, and a lock lever has a second engagement portion engageable with the first engagement portion to hold the cam plate in its rearward position. A solenoid energizable in response to an eject signal moves the lock lever to bring the second engagement portion out of engagement with the first engagement portion of the cam plate, and an eject lever engageable by the inserted disk cartridge serves to eject the disk cartridge.
