  • Patent number: 7656400
Abstract: A method and a device for converting data of a first format discriminated by an identifier into picture data of a second format different from the first format. In converting the data of the first format into the picture data of the second format different from the first format, discrimination picture data for discriminating the picture data is generated, while data relevant for correlating the picture data to the discriminated picture data is also generated. If, in displaying the converted picture data, the discrimination picture data is selected, the picture data correlated to the discriminated picture data is displayed based on the data relevant for correlating the picture data to the discriminated picture data.

  • Patent number: 7406785
Abstract: A display device selectively provides a first and second displays. A first light source emits first light, and a second light source emits second light having peak wavelength different from the first light, and a translucent sheet hit selectively by one of the first and second lights. The translucent sheet has first printed area parts formed on a first surface of the sheet to pass only the first light for providing the first display, second printed area parts formed on the first surface to pass only the second light for providing the second display, third printed area parts formed on the first surface to prevent light transmittance, and printed dimmer area parts formed on a second surface at areas corresponding to overlapped area parts of the first and second displays so as to suppress the first and second lights.

  • Publication number: 20060190421
Abstract: The present information relates to an information processing apparatus and method, a recording medium, and a program which are capable of easily and continuously writing programs to a plurality of storage blocks which are controlled by different CPUs. A first CPU 11 of an image display apparatus 1 writes a subject file from a semiconductor memory 2 to a specified device, a first flash ROM 12 or a first EEPROM 14. Alternatively, the first CPU 11 controls a second CPU 31 to write a subject file to a specified device, a second flash memory ROM 32 or a second EEPROM 34. While executing normal processing, the first CPU 11 confirms whether a subject file to be installed is ready or not. If the subject file is found to be ready, the first CPU 11 starts installing the subject file. The present invention is applicable to personal computers.

  • Patent number: 7061477
Abstract: An image controlling system in which an image to be displayed is controlled by a control device is to be improved in its operating performance. A control device 3 and a projector 2 are interconnected over a USB cable 5 and an RGB cable 6 to make bi-directional data transmission/reception to display a picture by the projector 2 on a display screen S. The projector 2 includes a projection display unit 18 fed with display data from the control device 3 to project light to display a picture represented by the display data, a hub 11 connected to the control device 3 and to a USB device to make data input/output based on the supplementary information and a display controller 19 for controlling a picture demonstrated by the projection display unit 18 based on a display control signal generated by the control device 3. The control device includes a connector 32, connected to the projector 2, and a controller 33 for outputting the control signal and the display data to have a picture displayed by the projector 2.

  • Patent number: 6903652
Abstract: A input apparatus for vehicle-installed instruments includes main input unit (operation unit) being placed in the proximity of a driver's seat for a user (driver) to switch a plurality of indicators displayed on a display screen into a selection mode and select any desired one of the indicators, thereby operating a vehicle-installed instrument. The main input unit includes leg parts and a palm support part extended in a lateral direction from the upper ends of the leg parts, a plurality of operation switches are placed on the opposite side of either of the leg parts to the extension direction, and an operation dial is placed on a side of the palm support part, enabling the user to move the indicators displayed on the display screen and switch one of the indicators into a selection mode by operating the operation switches and the operation dial.

  • Patent number: 6707387
Abstract: An operating device for operating apparatus mounted on the vehicle includes a dial being rotatable, a hand support, and a plurality of switches arranged adjacent to the dial. The apparatus mounted on the vehicle are turned on and off by a user when the switches are operated by the user. A pair of the openings from which operating portions of the dial protrudes are defined on left and right side surfaces of the hand support, respectively. In this way, the occurrence of misoperation is prevented.
