  • Patent number: 7196240
Abstract: Methods and equipment are provided for making polybichlorophenyl non-toxic. Methods include a first oxidation step, in which polybichlorophenyl is burned, and a second oxidation step, in which exhaust gas from the first oxidation step is oxidized by contact with metallic phthalocyanines or metallic phthalocyanine derivatives and with an oxygen supply compound. Equipment includes a first furnace for burning a polybichlorophenyl-containing oil with an auxiliary fuel and a second oxidation reaction unit. The second oxidation reaction unit connects to the first furnace under seal, and includes metallic phthalocyanine or metallic phthalocyanine derivative solution supply source and an oxygen supply compound supply source.

  • Publication number: 20030062950
Abstract: To enhance the accuracy of transmission power control in radio transmission, in a transmission power control circuit, a transmission power level is determined by selecting any one of a plurality of predefined direct-current (DC) voltage levels. The transmission power control circuit includes a variable-gain amplifier portion (208, 308, 408) wherein an amplitude-modulated signal is input and the amplification gain is varied according to a gain control signal; a power amplifier portion (210, 310, 410) for supplying a transmission output signal; a power detector portion (220, 320, 420), coupled to a coupler for extracting a portion of the transmission output signal, for detecting the transmission output signal; and a reference voltage generator portion. The reference voltage signal is determined based on the DC voltage level value selected and a signal capable of extracting an envelope component.

  • Patent number: 6289739
Abstract: A sacrificial specimen for use in monitoring a long-term stress intensity of a structure including a main body made of a metal and having an artificial crack formed at a central region thereof, and a pair of metal or synthetic resin thin plates each having a slit formed at a central region, said pair of thin plates being cemented together with interposing the main body therebetween such that said artificial crack is exposed outside through the slits. The sacrificial specimen is cemented onto a structure whose long-term stress intensity has to be monitored such that a central portion corresponding to the central regions of the main body and thin plates is not secured to the structure surface. When the sacrificial specimen is subjected to stress, the slits formed in the thin plates are deformed largely and a fatigue crack is produced in the main body such that the fatigue crack extends from the artificial crack.

  • Patent number: 5029298
Abstract: A transmitter circuit useful for example, in a portable radio-telephone comprises a power amplifying circuit which includes a driving amplifier constituted by a Si-MOSFET element and a power amplifier constituted by a GaAs-FET element. The gate voltage control is performed simultaneously for the driving amplifier and the power amplifier. By virtue of this mixed arrangement, a transmitting power amplifying circuit having a high power conversion efficiency is realized inexpensively.

  • Patent number: 4792939
Abstract: In order to reduce the size of a duplex radio communication transceiver such as a mobile telephone, this transceiver is constructed of a transmitting and receiving duplexer, a filter to be coupled to the duplexer, an amplifier for amplifying a signal received, and a filter to be connected with the output of the amplifier. All the filters are made of acoustic surface wave filters, and all the circuits are mounted on a single metallic substrate and sealed by means of a metallic casing into a module. The transceiver thus constructed has a volume which is one tenth as small as that of the device of the same kind according to the prior art.
