    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a main body for receiving a flexible printed circuit board and a metal actuator which holds the flexible circuit board between the actuator and the support surface of the main body. Substantially L-shaped pivoting arms are provided to pivotally support the actuator on the main body. The actuator is capable of pivoting about the pivot and sliding in the direction of the longitudinal direction of the flexible circuit board joined to the main body. The actuator engages with the main body at a distal end portion of the actuator. An inclined plane on which the pivoting arm slides is provided on at least one side of the support surface contacting to the pivoting arm and beveled in the sliding direction of the pivoting arm.

    Abstract: A connector to be attached to an end portion of a planar flexible circuit board includes a main body having a support surface on which is placed a portion of the flexible circuit board of a predetermined length from a distal end thereof, the support surface provided with an electrode which contacts a conductor on one surface of the flexible circuit board; and an actuator which holds the flexible circuit board between the actuator and the support surface of the main body. The actuator is pivotably joined to the main body at a base end portion of the actuator, and engages with the main body at a distal end portion of the actuator.

    Abstract: An electric connector includes a housing and a reinforcing tab formed as a unitary L-shaped member having a horizontal piece and a vertical piece. The vertical piece is connected to the housing, and the horizontal piece is to be soldered onto a mounting counterpart member such as a printed circuit board. To enhance the soldering strength, the reinforcing tab is provided with a through hole that penetrates through the reinforcing tab or a concaved part that is concave from the reverse soldering face toward the front face of the reinforcing tab. The through hole or the concaved part straddles both the horizontal piece and the vertical piece of the reinforcing tab.

    Abstract: One object of the present invention is to enhance the soldering strength to a mounting counterpart member without upsizing the reinforcing tab, increase the tolerance of peeling, and prevent occurrence of loose connection and peeling of soldered parts of the contacts. The present invention is an electric connector with reinforcing tab, comprising a connector housing, and a reinforcing tab, which is formed by substantially bending a piece into an L-shape so that parts of the obverse face thereof come closer to each other and comprises a horizontal piece facing in the height direction and a vertical piece facing sidewise, and it is so structured that the vertical piece is provided on the connector housing, and the horizontal piece is to be soldered, on the reverse side thereof, onto a mounting counterpart member such as a printed circuit board.

    Abstract: A connector with ground pin for boards includes an insulative connector body (4), and an electromagnetic shielding shell (9) covering a surface of the connector body (4). A ground pin (22) fixed to the connector body (4) has electrical conductivity with the shell (9). A cylindrical lock portion (25) of the ground pin (22) is inserted through a mounting hole (21) of a circuit board (20). The lock portion (25) resiliently engages the mounting hole (21) substantially on its overall circumference, thereby stably tacking the connector to the board (20). A solder build-up is formed substantially along the overall circumference of the lock portion (25).

The metal shell defines the upper and lower surfaces of a concave portion into which the modular plug is inserted and from which the modular plug is removed.

    Abstract: A first housing having a main body section for holding a number of pin contacts and arm portions protruding from both of the ends thereof, and a second housing are placed in a manner so as to overlap each other in their entire portions. When a PC card is inserted into the first housing, the pin contacts are inserted into sockets on the end face of the PC card. When a smart card is inserted to the second housing, contacts, placed on the upper surface of the cover combined with the second housing, are allowed to contact conductive pads on the lower surface of the smart card.
