  • Publication number: 20010012740
Abstract: An outboard engine comprises: a power unit including a body structure, an engine (10) disposed in an upper portion of the body structure, a propeller shaft (25) supported for rotation on a lower portion of the body structure so as to be driven by the engine (10), and a cowling (5) detachably attached to the body structure so as to cover the engine (10) from above and to defining a part of an engine room (6). A tilt bracket (35) connected to the body structure of the power unit is connected pivotally to a stern bracket (36) clamped to a boat by a tilt shaft (37). The cowling (5) is provided integrally with a tilt handle (80) to be gripped by hand when tilting the power unit, and an air inlet structure (70) through which air is introduced into the engine room (6).

  • Patent number: 6088556
Abstract: An electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes an electrostatic latent image carrying body, an electric charger for uniformly electrifying the carrying body, an optical exposure unit to form an electrostatic latent image on the carrying body, a developer for developing the electrostatic latent image to form a toner image on the carrying body, a transfer unit for transferring the toner image from the carrying body onto a printing sheet, a fixing unit for fixing the toner image to the printing sheet, a cleaner for cleaning to remove residual toner from the carrying body and a toner returning mechanism for returning the residual toner removed by the cleaner to the developer. The developer includes a housing in which a toner chamber is defined, a developing roller rotatably mounted in the housing, an agitator rotatably mounted in the housing so as to be positioned in the toner chamber, a partitioning member provided in the housing for defining a carrier chamber adjacent to the developing roller.

  • Patent number: 5951341
Abstract: An outboard engine includes an engine, a mount case for supporting the engine thereon, an undercase mounted to an upper part of the mount case, and an engine cover detachably secured to an upper part of the undercase and enclosing the engine together with the undercase. The undercase has a wall portion formed in opposed relation to a head cover of the engine. The wall portion is provided with a cutout opened in an upward direction in correspondence to the head cover and in a front-and-rear direction. The cutout is covered by a detachable lid. With this arrangement, it becomes possible to easily detach the large-sized head cover from the small-sized undercase, thereby allowing easy access to the engine for maintenance and inspection operations.

  • Patent number: 5697016
Abstract: Disclosed is an image forming apparatus for forming a toner image on a sheet both in a horizonal installation and in a vertical installation of the apparatus. The image forming apparatus is designed so that an air flow from a thermal fixing unit exerts no influence on an image forming operation of a photosensitive body and a temperature detection operation of the thermal fixing unit even when installed horizontally or vertically. This image forming apparatus therefore includes an exhaust duct for guiding a gas of an interior of the thermal fixing unit in an upper oblique direction from the thermal fixing unit to exhaust the interior Of the thermal fixing unit. The air flow from the thermal fixing unit does not therefore influence an image formation on the photosensitive body even when the apparatus is installed horizontally or vertically. This image forming apparatus also includes a temperature detector provided obliquely to a heat roller of the thermal fixing unit.
