Abstract: A toner container and an image forming apparatus are disclosed. The toner container includes a guiding member formed at a part surrounding a toner outlet to be protruded from a circumferential surface of the toner container for guiding an opening or closing operation of a shutter member in a circumferential direction of the toner container. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming apparatus main body. The image forming apparatus main body includes a main body side shutter for opening or closing a toner supplying opening to be connected to the toner outlet. When the shutter member is opened, an end surface of the guiding member pushes the main body side shutter together with the opening operation of the shutter member, and the toner supplying opening is opened and is connected to the toner outlet.

  • Patent number: 6873814
Abstract: A developing device including a developer containing magnetic toner grains and includes a main pole for development disposed in a sleeve. Flux density generated by the magnetic pole in a direction normal to the surface of the sleeve outside of the surface has an attenuation ratio of 50% or above. The toner grains have a weight mean grain size of 6.0 ?m to 8.0 ?m while the toner grains having grain sizes of 5 ?m and below occupy 40% to 80% of the entire developer. The toner grains have magnetization strength of 10 emu/g to 25 emu/g in a magnetic field of 5 kOe or magnetization strength of 7 emu/g to 20 emu/g in a magnetic field of 1 kOe. The toner grains reduce toner scattering and image defects despite that they are magnetic, thereby implementing ultrahigh resolution.

  • Patent number: 6856774
Abstract: A developing device developing a latent image on a latent image carrier with a developer, and including a casing having an opening facing the latent image carrier and a developer carrier. Also included is a magnetic field generating device including a first magnetic pole generating a magnetic field causing the developer to rise on the developer carrier in a form of a magnet brush in a developing region, and a second magnetic pole generating a magnetic field at a downstream side of the first magnetic pole in a rotating direction of the developer carrier. Further, a toner-scattering restraining device is provided on an end portion of the casing at the downstream side of the developing region, and a magnetic member provided on a side of the toner-scattering restraining device facing the latent image carrier. A peak of a magnetic flux density set by the second magnetic pole in its normal direction is located outside of the opening.

  • Patent number: 6810222
Abstract: An image forming apparatus of the present invention includes a developing device including a sleeve and a magnet roller fixedly accommodated in the sleeve. The magnet roller includes a main magnetic pole and an auxiliary magnetic pole adjoining it at a downstream side in the direction of rotation of the sleeve. A magnetic collection pole is positioned on the edge of an opening formed in a casing and facing a photoconductive drum. The collection pole forms a magnetic field that prevents a developer falling away from the sleeve from escaping the developing device via the opening.

  • Patent number: 6208826
Abstract: A transfer device includes a transfer member that forms a nip part between a rotary image carrier carrying an image and the transfer member and that transfers the image on the image carrier to a transfer material passing through the nip part. The transfer member has on the transfer surface thereof notches slanting relative to a direction perpendicular to the transfer surface. The transfer device further includes a pushing member to push the transfer member to the image carrier so as to oppose to a pushing force from the transfer material to the transfer member, and a driving force transmission device that transmits a driving force to the transfer member such that the transfer surface of the transfer member moves at a circumferential speed different from that of the image carrier.

  • Patent number: 5690610
Abstract: A sticking material for hemostasis has a flexible strip-shaped base member having a high recovery property, a main surface, and side edges extending in a first longitudinal direction. An adhesive layer is disposed on the main surface of the base member. A pad is disposed on the adhesive layer and extends in a second longitudinal direction substantially transverse to the first longitudinal direction such that a space is defined between the pad and each of the side edges of the base member. The pad is of a size sufficient to exert pressure at a puncture area including punctures of both a blood vessel and a skin surface. The pad has a slight elasticity and a hardness capable of securely exerting pressure on the punctures by a shrinking action of the base member when the base member is adhered to the skin surface while being stretched to secure the pad over the punctures.
