    Abstract: A light guide plate includes a glass substrate having a mark on a surface thereof and a refractive index of 1.7 or more. The mark includes a plurality of dots. Each dot is contained in a minimum circle having a diameter of 30 to 250 ?m. Each dot has raised portions higher than the surface at outermost and innermost peripheral edge portions having a height of 0.11 to 4 ?m. Each dot is composed of laser irradiation marks, each having a diameter of 10 to 40 ?m, and being in contact with or overlapping with each other. A specific loop shape, formed by the laser irradiation marks, having a diameter of a minimum circle containing the loop shape of 100 ?m or less, is configured as an open loop including an open portion having a length of one tenth to twice of a maximum diameter of the laser irradiation mark.

    Abstract: In the light control device according to one mode of the present invention, a plurality of liquid crystal optical elements are arrayed between two transparent plates having a curved surface, and the liquid crystal optical elements are bonded to a first transparent plate 11 by a gel, elastic, transparent resin layer. The liquid crystal optical elements and the second transparent plate have a sealed space formed therebetween. By using the gel, elastic, transparent resin layer to fix only one side of each of the liquid crystal optical elements to the first transparent plate, the liquid crystal optical elements are fixed to the curved surface of the first transparent plate, and a stress is prevented from being transmitted to the liquid crystal optical elements.

The connecting portion includes first and second connecting arms integrally formed with the holders of the first and second ball joints and on which a plurality of positioning concaves and convexes which are meshed with each other are respectively arranged in a longitudinal direction. A fixing device engages the first and second connecting arms with each other in the condition where the positioning concaves and convexes of the first and second connecting arms mesh with each other.

    Abstract: This manufacturing method comprises a first step in which a molten aluminum alloy is cast into casting dies into which a ball 8 forming a ball portion 1a of a ball-shank 1 in corporation with a shank 1b connected to the portion 1a is inserted as a core so that a holder 2 covering the ball portion 1a is formed leaving the connected portion of the shank 1b as it is; a second step in which the aluminum alloy for forming the holder 2 is subjected to a solution heat treatment; a third step in which the shank 1b is brought into pressure contact with the ball 8 exposed from the holder 2, electrodes 10a and 10b are held in contact with the shank 1b and the holder 2, respectively, and the ball 8 and the shank 1b are projection-welded by turning on electricity between electrodes to thereby form the ball-shank 1; and a fourth step in which an external force is applied to the holder 2 or the ball-shank 1 to thereby provide a gap between the ball 8 and the holder 2.

    Abstract: A control circuit of an FM stereophonic receiver includes two sets of symmetrically arranged transistor pairs which form a DC supply regulating circuit therein and are connected to respective constant current sources. The control circuit receives an output signal from an FM detector and controls the coupling of the FM detector output to different input terminals of a switching circuit of the FM demodulator in response to a DC control signal indicative of the level of a received broadcast signal. The switching circuit receives a train of switching pulses of 38 kHz as a switching signal to derive a stereophonic or monophonic audio signal from the controllably applied FM detector output. The DC supply regulating circuit serves to maintain the DC level applied to the input terminals of the switching circuit at a constant value at all times to reduce noise which might occur in the reproduced audio signal when the receiver is switched over between the stereophonic and monophonic modes.
