  • Publication number: 20230199164
Abstract: An external scene image captured by an external scene imaging electronic camera attached to a head mounted display (HMD) is projected and displayed onto an image display screen arranged in front of the eyes of the user as a virtual image with a suitable viewing distance corresponding to the visual acuity of the user. At this time, for each object image presented in the virtual image of the external scene image, the virtual image is processed and formatted to add a predetermined degree of binocular disparity and image blur to the virtual image projected and displayed on the right and the left image display screen on the basis of a predetermined converted distance calculated from the real distance of each object. Thus, the user is given a sense of a realistic perspective for the virtual image of the external scene, free of the discomfort or unease.

  • Patent number: 10942436
Abstract: The reflection surface of a DMD is divided into a first area and a second area, causing the first area to display images while appropriately controlling the on and off states of the micromirrors within the second area on the basis of a prescribed control logic according to the on and off states of the micromirrors within the first area. Further, the DMD off-state light created in the first and second areas is caused to recurse to the DMD via a prescribed recycle optical system for the DMD off-state light, and only the second area in the reflection surface is intensively irradiated along a prescribed irradiation direction, thereby efficiently converting the DMD off-state light to the effective projection light.

  • Patent number: 10401631
Abstract: An image display device 1 includes a laser light source unit 10, a screen 12 formed of at least two diffusion members, a vibration mechanism 13 vibrating at least one diffusion member, and a scanning element 11 scanning laser light in a first direction (a y direction) on the screen and a second direction (an x direction) orthogonal to the first direction. A scanning speed of the scanning element 11 in the second direction is faster than a scanning speed in the first direction, and a diameter D of the laser light in the first direction on the screen is greater than an interval Yp in the first direction on the scanning trajectory in the second direction on the screen. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an image display device displaying an image having a low speckle with high luminance, without vibrating the diffusion member at a high speed.

  • Patent number: 5295125
Abstract: There is disclosed an optical head device in which at least two laser beams having different wavelengths are converged as light spots on a recording medium or optical disk by use of one objective lens and one of the two laser beams is subjected to a focusing control while the recording or reproduction of a signal on or from the optical disk is made using the other laser beam. When the one laser beam is subjected to the focusing control, the deviation of a converging position of the other laser beam for the optical disk may occur due to a difference in refractive index between transparent substrates of plural kinds of optical disks. In such a case, the converging position of the other laser beam is displaced to cancel the amount of deviation.
