  • Patent number: 5448485
Abstract: A route information input apparatus for specifying a route from an entraining station to an arrival station including a pointing device operated by the user to designate a position on a display screen and a data processing apparatus for executing a data processing in accordance with a program prepared in advance each time the user operates the pointing device to thereby change a displayed content on the display screen. On the basis of positional informations of major stations stored in a first file, a line diagram presented in the simplified form in which truly existing stations are partly omitted and in which the major stations are connected by means of line segments is displayed on a first area of the display screen. A group of station name data omitted from the line diagram displayed on the first area are selectively displayed on a second area of the display screen in the form of a table.

  • Patent number: 4877945
Abstract: An IC card system comprises an IC card, each card including a microprocessor, a communication interface, a power supply interface, and memories such as RAM, ROM and EEPROM, and an external device such as a terminal. The terminal functions to supply electric power and send commands to the IC card, and includes a card reader/writer effecting data processing for transactions. The commands include a start command and an end command for the transaction data processing for the IC card connected therewith, and the IC card comprises a validity data flag table within the EEPROM. When a start command is received, the flag table records the validity flag in an invalid state and holds such state as long as an end command is not received.

  • Patent number: 4868372
Abstract: An erroneous-operation preventive apparatus operable with an operation medium has a unit for receiving the operation medium. The unit includes first and second data modifiers and the operation medium stores first data, second data equal to the first data modified by the first data modifier, and third data equal to the first data modified by the second data modifier. When the operation medium is set in the unit, the first and second modifiers modify the first data from the operation medium. The modified first data is compared with the second and third data from the operation medium to decide the correctness of operation when the comparison results indicate a predetermined relationship between the modified first data with the respective second and third data.

  • Patent number: 4758718
Abstract: A high security and rewritable IC card has a microprocessor, a memory, and a keyboard. The memory has a password registration area, an error counter area in which the number of occurrences of an error in inputting a password is stored, and a card information area. The microprocessor controls a password registration operation, registers the password inputted through the keyboard in the password registration area. When the registered password is to be updated, the microprocessor clears the password registration area in the memory to allow writing of a new password only when the microprocessor detects that a password data inputted by a card user matches the registered password and the error count in the error counter is no more than a predetermined count.
