  • Patent number: 6957488
Abstract: A process of manufacturing a rail of a linear guide is described. The process includes preparing a material for a rail wherein the material has a surface formed in a convex shap and two side surface. The method includes a rolling process of forming raceway grooves in the side surfaces of the material and a process for making a mounting hole after the rolling process in such a manner that the mounting hole opens to at least either surface.

  • Patent number: 6877351
Abstract: When working a linear guide rail having one or more raceway grooves 2 on the side surfaces thereof, using rotary dies each including on the circumferential portion thereof a projection-shaped working portion matched in shape to the raceway groove 2, the raceway grooves 2 are rolled onto a rail blank work W. Since the raceway grooves 2 can be rolled with high accuracy by a single working step, the working time of the raceway grooves as well as the working cost thereof can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5251154
Abstract: In measuring the accuracy of a thread groove of a ball thread formed in a nut by using an electric micrometer, a displacement of one point on each of a pair of flanks of the thread groove is measured along a longitudinal direction of the thread groove, and a pair of measured data sequences are obtained respectively for the pair of flanks. The data elements of the pair of measured data sequences are grouped into a plurality of groups so that each group includes a pair of data elements which are respectively contained in the pair of measured data sequences and which are corresponding to each other. The accuracy in the depth direction of the thread groove with respect to a reference thread groove is obtained on the basis of a sum of the data elements in each group, and the accuracy in the thread axis direction is obtained on the basis of a difference between the data elements in each pair.
