  • Publication number: 20070045586
Abstract: A fluid control valve assembly is disclosed that includes a housing, a valve with a ring-shaped groove, and a seal ring with a clearance extending between an outer diameter and an inner diameter. The seal ring includes a pair of opposing axial side surfaces and is provided in the groove. The seal ring seals against the housing when the valve is in the closed position. The valve assembly also includes a backup ring provided in the groove adjacent one of the axial side surfaces of the seal ring to thereby obstruct fluid flow through the clearance of the seal ring when the valve is in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7168682
Abstract: Emission gas recycling equipment includes a passage for recycling a part of an emission gas and a control valve for controlling an amount of the part of the emission gas. The control valve includes: a housing having a pipe portion; a butterfly valve accommodated in the pipe portion rotatable in a first direction and a second direction; a seal ring for sealing a clearance; and valve open/close operation means for stopping the butterfly valve at the valve full close position after the valve open/close operation means operates the butterfly valve to open and to close equal to or more than one cycle across the valve full close position at the time when the engine stops or after the engine stops.

  • Publication number: 20060162693
Abstract: A valve control device corrects a change rate of an opening degree of a valve in accordance with engine rotation speed when deposit elimination operation is performed. The valve control device corrects an inclination between a positive maximum opening degree and a negative maximum opening degree of the valve in accordance with the engine rotation speed when the deposit elimination operation is performed. Thus, when the engine rotation speed is low and a noise accompanying the deposit elimination operation becomes more audible, the change rate of the opening degree of the valve is reduced. As a result, the noise accompanying the deposit elimination operation is reduced and annoyance for vehicle occupants is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6766580
Abstract: A method of assembling a butterfly valve that includes a shaft rotatably supported by first and second bearing portions. A first adjusting instrument is used to adjust thrust and radial clearances between the first end of the shaft and the first bearing portion. A second adjusting instrument is used for adjusting thrust and radial clearances between the second end of the shaft and the second bearing portion, and the shaft is arranged at a center of the fluid flow passage.

  • Publication number: 20030111628
Abstract: An opening end of a concave portion of a bearing holder is crimped to prevent an outer race of a ball bearing from sliding rearwardly, so that a bearing stop cover in the prior art is not needed to stop the slide-out of the outer race. Thus, the number of parts and assembling procedures for an intake air controller are reduced, thereby reducing the manufacturing const thereof. Further, since the bearing stop cover is not needed, the axial length of the bearing holder of a throttle body is shortened, thereby axially compacting the throttle body.

  • Patent number: 6483296
Abstract: An angular position detection apparatus, which can improve a detection accuracy of the angular position by improving a linearity of an output characteristic with respect to an angular position detection apparatus, and to downsize an outer size thereof. A permanent magnet is fixed to a side surface of a rotor core, which integrally rotates with a detection target object. An inner surface of a cylindrical portion of the rotor core is closely confronted with an outer surface of a stator core. Thus, the angular position detection apparatus is formed as a radial gap type in which magnetic flux is gone through an air gap G1 between the cylindrical portion and the stator core along a radial direction. A magnetic flux detection gap portion is formed at a center portion of the stator core so as to go through toward a diametral direction. A Hall IC is arranged in the magnetic flux detection gap portion. The permanent magnet is magnetized so that lines of magnetic force therein are parallel with each other.

  • Patent number: 5133320
Abstract: A safety apparatus for a combustion engine includes a rotary member disposed in a rotating portion of the internal combustion engine, a spiral spring supported by the rotary member at one end and biasing the rotary member in a predetermined direction, an engaging member engaging with the other end of the spiral spring, a housing for receiving the spiral spring, and a guide member arranged over at least the outer side periphery of the overlapping portion of the spiral spring and extending along the circumferential direction of the spiral spring to prevent the spiral spring from expanding in diameter. With this construction, when breakage is caused in the spiral spring, hooking of the broken end onto the engaging member can be prevented by the guide member. Therefore, it can prevent the throttle valve from being biased toward opening direction by the broken spiral spring.
