  • Patent number: 5621587
Abstract: The tape drive unit of the present invention is constructed such that the reverse rotation of a motor (16) causes a mode cam (32) to drive for setting any mode of normal play, reverse play, fast forward and rewinding, and thereafter the forward rotation of the motor (16) causes a reel shaft (3) or a reel shaft (4) to rotationally drive according to said mode and a head base (51) is slid upon FWD/REV to set up a magnetic head and pinch rollers. With such construction, each operation of normal play, reverse play, fast forward and rewinding can be performed without using a plunger or microcomputer, thereby eliminating the fear of troubles due to the plunger malfunction or a microcomputer bug.

  • Patent number: 5502602
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus which includes no pinch roller and no capstan and wherein the converging time to a rated speed upon starting of feeding of a tape can be reduced and the tape can be fed stably at the rated speed during recording and/or reproduction of the tape. A rotary encoder for detecting a period of rotation is disposed between a recording and/or reproducing head and a take-up side reel, and a deviation from a predetermined reference value or a feeding position of the tape is calculated from the period of rotation detected by the rotary encoder.

  • Patent number: 5446875
Abstract: A system for passing through resource information in a computer system including an actual process, a back-up process, and a shared memory connected to the actual process and the back-up process. The actual process includes information which is stored in the shared memory and passed through to the back-up process by passing the contents of the shared memory to the back-up process. The back-up process performs an operation as a new actual process after being passed the contents of the shared memory when the actual process is not operable. The shared memory includes two sets of areas which respectively include an original information area storing information which is transmitted from the actual process to the back-up process, and a difference area storing information related to a change when the actual process changes the original information area.

  • Patent number: 4506953
Abstract: A reflection preventive light-shielding screen comprising a transparent plate and a side surface-rough relief of a cured photopolymerized resin composition formed thereon and having a striped pattern or a lattice pattern. The present reflection preventive light-shielding screen can effectively shield extraneous light rays without scattering the light rays emitted from image-indicating devices. Therefore, the present reflection preventive light-shielding screen can be advantageously used for various extraneous light rays-shielding applications. Furthermore, the present reflection preventive light-shielding screen can be produced by an extremely simple process as compared with those of the prior art.

  • Patent number: 4491142
Abstract: An automatic fuel supply stopping device incorporated in fuel combustion equipment including a shut-off valve and a combustor. The automatic fuel supply stopping device comprises a fluid intercepting mechanism interposed in a channel through which the fuel supply to the combustor is supplied. A photosensor is adapted to detect fuel combustion in the combustor by radiation emitted from a thermosensitive luminous medium. The fluid intercepting mechanism alternately takes its first stable state or passage blocking state and is changed over, in response to an output from a sensor circuit, from the passage opening state to the passage blocking state.

  • Patent number: 4245814
Abstract: A fluid shut-off device is provided which comprises a non-magnetic casing having a fluid passage therein, a metallic valve body movably disposed in the casing to close the passage at one operative position, and a magnetic member slidably disposed outside the casing and magnetically attracting the valve body. The magnetic member takes an inoperative position against a spring force and is locked at this position. The lock is released by a bimetallic strap deformable by supply of an electric current. When the lock is released, the magnetic member is moved by the action of the spring force, so that the valve body magnetically attracted by the magnetic member is also moved to the operative position to shut off the flow of fluid material through the passage.
