  • Patent number: 5866514
Abstract: A pesticidal composition to noxious organisms which comprises a diarylalkane and an active component effective for killing or repelling noxious organisms and the diarylalkane is at least one member selected from the group consisting of butyl diphenylmethane, butyl-1,1-diphenylethane and butyl-1,2-diphenylethane. The used diarylalkane has a high dissolving power to the effective component, a high boiling point and a high flash point with low unpleasant smell and does not deteriorate the effective component in the pesticidal composition.

  • Patent number: 5384684
Abstract: An MF capacitor of an oil impregnation type, whose durability in constant voltage application is so high that it is suitable for practical use. The metallized plastic film is impregnated with an electrically insulating oil composition obtained by adding 5-80% by weight of natural fatty acid triglyceride which contains a less amount of fatty acid ester having free hydroxyl radical to an aromatic hydrocarbon having a specific chemical structure and being liquid at -30.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5241997
Abstract: A plurality of capacitors of the type each including capacitor elements with a very small gap between adjacent electrodes are filled and impregnated with a capacitor oil with the aid of a capacitor oil filling/impregnating apparatus. The apparatus comprises an impregnating chamber including a capacitor oil supplying portion, a charging/discharging platform having a plurality of capacitors placed thereon, and distributing/supplying means arranged above the charging/discharging platform so as to allow the capacitor oil to be supplied to the respective capacitors from above by its free falling-down induced by a dead weight of the capacitor oil itself.

  • Patent number: 4755275
Abstract: A process for preparing an electrical insulating oil comprising a reaction product having a boiling range of higher than 260.degree. C. obtained by treating a hydrocarbn feed at a reaction temperature in the range of 0.degree. to 300.degree. C. in liquid phase in the presence of an acid catalyst, said hydrocarbon feed comprising a distillate from a thermal-cracked oil obtained in a thermal cracking process for thermally cracking a petrolic heavy residual oil at a temperature not lower than 400.degree. C. and not exceeding 700.degree. C., said distillate consisting mainly of hydrocarbons boiling in the range of 120.degree. to 290.degree. C. and said distillate containing at least 30 weight percent of paraffins and at least 10 weight percent of aliphatic olefins, and separating said reaction product from the resulting mixture containing at least said reaction product and unreacted hydrocarbons.

  • Patent number: 4735703
Abstract: Concentrations of straight chain material are material are increased by treating a thermal-cracked oil distillate boiling in the range of 120.degree. to 290.degree. C. and containing aliphatic olefins, at a temperature of 0.degree. to 330.degree. C. in liquid phase in the presence of an acid catalyst, said thermal-cracked oil distillate being obtained from a thermal cracking process of thermally cracking a petrolic heavy residual oil at a temperature not lower than 400.degree. C. and not exceeding 700.degree. C.; and then separating and removing from the reaction mixture heavy components boiling higher than said distillate.

  • Patent number: 4692270
Abstract: A surfactant is obtained by treating a mixture of 20 to 95 wt. % of a thermal cracking oil fraction obtained by thermally cracking a petroleum heavy residual oil at 400.degree. to 700.degree. C., for example, by delayed coking and 80 to 5 wt. % of other aromatic source, for example, an aromatic fraction having a comparatively high boiling point with an acid catalyst, and sulfonating and neutralizing the product. This surfactant is used as a dispersing agent for a coal-oil mixture (COM).
