Publication number: 20110170912Abstract: The present invention provides a toner cartridge and its recycling method in which a clearance due to stack of the housing and the lid can reliably be sealed so that toner leakage can be prevented. A toner cartridge which is set in an image forming apparatus to feed toner to the image forming apparatus includes a housing having a toner containing portion for containing toner therein, and a lid for covering the toner containing portion of the housing. A stack portion where the housing and the lid are stacked on each other is sealed by a sealing member having first and second adhesive materials provided on both-side surfaces of a base material with the first adhesive material stuck on an outer peripheral surface of the stack portion and with a release paper stuck on the second adhesive material.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 4, 2009Publication date: July 14, 2011Applicant: Konica Minolta Business Technologies, IncInventors: Toshihide Taniguchi, Kunio Toda, Ikuo Ichino, Shigehisa Nakayama, Kenichi Wada, Shouji Imaizumi, Kenzo Toya, Hiroshi Ozawa

Patent number: 5283615Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided with an optical system for forming a first electrostatic latent image and a second electrostatic latent image on a rotatable photosensitive member, a first developing device accommodating a first developer for developing the first electrostatic latent image, and a second developing device accommodating a second developer for developing the second electrostatic latent image. The second developing device is located downstream from the first developing device in a direction of rotation of the photosensitive member and is provided with a developing roller having a magnetic force. The second developer differs in color from the first developer and has a magnetism greater than the first developer. The second developer is transported to the second electrostatic latent image along a periphery of the developing roller.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 1990Date of Patent: February 1, 1994Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tomoaki Yokoyama, Tateki Oka, Kunio Toda

Patent number: 5038176Abstract: An image forming apparatus having plural developing devices, comprising: a photosensitive member arranged rotatably in one direction and holding an electrostatic latent image corresponding to an original image; a developing sleeve rotatably arranged in each developing device at a position confronting said photosensitive member to transport a developer; a device for simultaneously driving for rotation of each of said developing sleeves in said developing devices; and an adjusting mechanism for adjusting operation of said developing devices so that in a region where said developing sleeves confront with said photosensitive member, a developer packaged density (F) in said developing device arranged at an upstream side in a rotational direction of said member is larger than that of said developing device arranged at a downstream side in the rotational direction of said member, which isF=Vd/Ds,where Vd is an amount of the developer passing between said developing sleeve and said photosensitive member per hour, andType: GrantFiled: June 6, 1989Date of Patent: August 6, 1991Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tomoaki Yokoyama, Kunio Toda, Taisuke Nagao

Patent number: 5036369Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member rotatably supported; an upstream developing device, in a rotary direction of the member, for developing an electrostatic latent image corresponding to a solid image and/or a literal image with an accommodated developer therein; a downstream developing device, in the direction thereof, for developing an electrostatic latent image corresponding to a line image with an accommodated developer in the same color as that in the upstream developing device; a cleaning device for collecting the developer remained on the surface of the member; and a developer transporting device for transporting the developer collected by the cleaning device to the upstream developing device.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1989Date of Patent: July 30, 1991Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kunio Toda, Tomoaki Yokoyama, Taisuke Nagao

Patent number: 4954843Abstract: An image forming apparatus wherein a photosensitive layer arranged to rotate in one direction is charged by a charger, and a negative electrostatic latent image is formed thereon by an exposure unit and then is subjected to reversal development by a developing device so that a positive noticeable image can be attained. The apparatus has a scorotoron charger for charging the negative latent image which has just been formed by the exposure unit with the opposite polarity thereof. A grid of the scorotoron charger is constituted to be impressed with a voltage with the same polarity as the latent image and a value lower than that of the surface potential, and by the scorotoron charger, the potential of the non-imaged portions of the latent image is lowered around the grid voltage.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 1989Date of Patent: September 4, 1990Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tateki Oka, Naoki Toyoshi, Kunio Toda
