Abstract: An estrogen-containing gel preparation is disclosed, which comprises a substrate having on one surface thereof a crosslinked gel layer formed by crosslinking a composition comprising the following ingredients (a) to (c), the weight ratio of the ingredient (b) to the ingredient (c) being from 1.0/0.25 to 1.0/2.0:(a) estrogen;(b) an acrylate polymer; and(c) a liquid ingredient compatible with the ingredient (b).

Abstract: A balloon control ring to control ballooning phenomenon taking place in yarn being spun out from spinner or twister, wherein the inner circumferential surface thereof is formed with grooves provided therealong, yarn contacting surfaces located respectively above and below said grooves and bank portions so located as to divide adjacent ones of said grooves.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of 1-aryloxy-3-aminopropane derivatives and acid addition salts thereof and such products per se the process comprising ring opening of tertiary azetidinol derivatives. They possess .beta.-adrenergic blocking activity and an activity of controlling secretion of gastric juice and are therefore useful antiulcerative medicines for peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer.

Abstract: Novel isoquinoline derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R represents a lower alkyl group, a lower cycloalkyl group, or a group of the formula ##STR2##in which R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a methyl group, a trifluoromethyl group, a methoxy group, a methylamino group or a dimethylami no group;R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; andY represents a carboxyl group, a cyano group, a carbamoyl group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group or a lower alkylaminocarbonyl group;or a salt thereof; a process for the production thereof.The above compound is useful as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent.

Abstract: Compounds of the general formula ##STR1## or their salts, esters or amide derivatives; and processes for their preparation. In the formula, R.sub.O represents hydrogen or lower alkyl, R.sub.2 represents hydrogen, halogen or nitro, R.sub.3 represents hydrogen or halogen, and R.sub.4 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl; and when R.sub.O is hydrogen, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are all hydrogens and the group ##STR2## is present at the 2-position. These compounds exhibit superior analgesic and/or anti-inflammatory actions with little gastrointestinal troubles.

Abstract: A polyester resin composition obtained by mixing a molten polyester having an average degree of polymerization ranging from about 5 to 50 mainly comprising a terephthalic acid unit, a p-hydroxybenzoic acid unit and an ethylene glycol unit, and one hardener selected from the group consisting of a diglycidyl compound, hexaalkoxymethylmelamine or the condensate thereof, and a blocked isocyanate, with the composition being suitable for the preparation of a powder paint. The thus produced polyester resin composition can be finely pulverized with ease, shows no blocking property, facilitates pigmentation and provides beautiful coatings excellent in weather resistance, solvent resistance, humidity resistance, antifouling property, and with intimate adhesiveness to metal.
