    Abstract: A belt drive system comprising a toothed belt having a plurality of equally spaced teeth on the surface of the belt body and toothed pulleys having a plurality of equally spaced teeth to engage with the belt teeth on the surface of the pulley body of each pulley. The belt teeth have one or more cut grooves in the longitudinal direction of the belt and the toothed pulleys have one or more ribs, to engage with the cut grooves in the belt teeth, on the surface of the pulley body of each pulley.
