  • Patent number: 6752619
Abstract: A clamping unit for use in an injection molding machine is proposed, wherein a plurality of tie bars are symmetrically positioned and mounted in parallel to corners of a front platen and a rear platen, and a movable platen is movably sleeved about the tie bars and positioned between the front and rear platens. A servo-motor mounted on the rear platen acts as a power source for operating the clamping unit. A belt-gear mechanism associated with the servo-motor transmits torque force and turning speed provided from the servo-motor to a ball screw transmission mechanism connected to the belt-gear mechanism. The ball screw transmission mechanism converts the torque force into axial pushing force, so as to drive a toggle linkage mechanism that interconnects the rear platen and the movable platen, and move the movable platen along the tie bars for performing mold-opening and mold-clamping operations.

  • Publication number: 20040061368
Abstract: A bracket assembly includes a backrest, a support and a fastener. The backrest defines a hole with a wall formed with a thread. The support is attached to a seat and defines a slot. The fastener includes a bolt formed with a thread and a head secured to the bolt. The bolt is inserted through the slot and the thread formed on the bolt is engaged with the thread formed on the wall of the hole in order to sandwich the support between the backrest and the head so as retain the backrest in position on the support. The engagement the thread formed on the bolt with the thread formed on the wall of the hole can be loosened so as allow adjustment of the position of the backrest on the support. In another aspect, the backrest includes a first panel and a second panel. The first panel defines a hole with a wall on which a thread is formed and a second panel. The second panel defines a hole. The support is located between the first panel and the second panel.

  • Patent number: 6619944
Abstract: An injection unit of injection machine operates to drive a time-belt pulley associated with a thrust bearing, a bevel ball-bearing, and a bearing nut to make a ball-bearing guiding screw move swiftly to in turn drive a movable plate to perform an injection stroke. The injection pressure transmitted backwards by a plasticized auger is sensed by a load bearer equipped with a pressure sensor something like a strain gauge. After an injection stroke, by means of another time-belt pulley and a shaft coupling, the plasticized auger is restored to its original position and ready for a next cyclic motion. During the cyclic injection process, the load bearer is in charge of sensing the pressure change and reckoning the back pressure in order to obtain the best injection quality.

  • Publication number: 20020166419
Abstract: A steering column wrench includes a body having a first eccentric passage for receiving a head of a steering column therein, and a second eccentric passage. A communication hole communicates between the first eccentric passage and the second eccentric passage. The first passage has a knurled inner periphery. A driving member is received in the second eccentric passage and includes an engaging section and a rod which extends eccentrically from an end of the engaging section with which a ratchet tool is connected. The rod has a knurled surface and contacts the head via the communication hole so that when rotating the engaging section, the head clamped between the rod and the first eccentric passage is easily loosened.
