  • Publication number: 20090236503
Abstract: A housing with a sensed power switch includes a shell, a motherboard power switch, and a sensed switch module. The motherboard power switch is located in the shell for turning on or off the computer. The sensed switch module is located in the shell, and has a sensing element and a control circuit. The sensing element is pasted onto the shell and corresponds to a sensing area located outside of the shell. The control circuit is electrically connected with the sensing element and the motherboard power switch. When a sensing object approaches the sensing area, the sensing element outputs a pulse signal to the control circuit. The control circuit outputs a control signal to control the motherboard power switch to turn on or turn off the computer according to the pulse signal.

  • Patent number: 7586287
Abstract: A computer housing temperature control device is disclosed. The present invention obtains the PWM signal generated from the CPU in the motherboard to control the rotation speed of all cooling fans located in the computer housing. Furthermore, the present invention uses a hub to share the PWM signal to all cooling fans in the computer housing, and the PWM signals are displayed on a screen in a digital or analog way. The PWM signal is issued by the motherboard according to the temperature of the CPU, and is used for controlling the rotation speed of the cooling fan so that the temperature of the computer housing is controlled well, and the user is informed of status of the computer.

  • Publication number: 20080218140
Abstract: The present invention discloses a control apparatus, which integrates the methods of PWM signal controlling and manual voltage regulating for controlling the cooler. The control apparatus includes a voltage stabilizer, a voltage regulator, and a switching unit. The voltage stabilizer connects to a CPU of a motherboard for receiving a PWM signal and outputting a stable PWM signal. The voltage regulator connects to the voltage stabilizer for regulating the voltage level of the stable PWM signal. The switching unit connects to the voltage stabilizer, the voltage regulator and the cooler for performing a switching operation between a first control mode and a second control mode. Moreover, the control apparatus controls the cooler via the stable PWM signal in the first control mode, and controls the cooler by regulating the voltage level of the stable PWM signal in the second control mode.
