  • Patent number: 8864981
Abstract: Deasphalted residual oil (DAO) and the aromatics-rich extract that is derived from DAO have low polycyclic aromatics contents, relatively low aniline points, and high flash points. They form blending stocks that improve properties of mixed feedstocks to consistently produce environmentally qualified rubber processing oil (RPO) by extraction under low solvent-to-oil ratios and moderate extraction temperatures. Distilling a petroleum crude oil under atmospheric pressure generates a bottom residual oil which is then subject to vacuum distillation to yield a bottom residual oil. DAO is produced by removing the asphalt from the vacuum bottom residual oil through extraction with light paraffinic solvent. The extract of DAO is a co-product in the production of the bright stock of the lubricating oil through extraction. The feedstock is mixed with the extract from a petroleum fraction boiling in lube oil range.

  • Patent number: 8450544
Abstract: A method for preparing the low carbon number petrochemical products along with the high energy fuels from pyrolysis gasoline is provided. In this method, the pyrolysis gasoline is used as feedstock, and the reactive non-aromatic, unsaturated moieties, and the sulfur impurity contained in the pyrolysis gasoline are removed. Then the stabilized feedstock is used to produce C5 olefins, C6-C9 aromatic hydrocarbons as petrochemical products, and C10+ hydrocarbons as precursors of high energy fuels. Upon acid catalytic isomerization, or upon crystallization followed by acid catalytic isomerization, the C10+ hydrocarbons as precursors of high energy fuels are converted to exo-isomers as high energy fuels.

  • Patent number: 6454818
Abstract: The present invention is one kind of gasoline additives. The compounds consist of tertiary amine, amide and poly(oxybutylene) backbone in the same molecule. The process of making this type of products required an initiator containing primary amine and tertiary amine as the starting diamines. The primary amine will be converted into amide, while the tertiary amine remained intact. Then the amide is converted into butoxylates through butoxylation at CON—H position. The preparation therefore involved two steps: (1) amidation of diamines containing primary/tertiary amines with ethyl acetate to form amidoamines, and (2) butoxylation of this amidoamines to poly(oxybutylene)amidoamine. The product is gasoline soluble and can be used as additive having good performance of detergency and octane requirement reduction.

  • Patent number: 5498353
Abstract: A semi-synthetic two-stroke engine oil formulation which comprises a base oil consisting of a high-viscosity mineral oil, a medium-viscosity mineral oil, a solvent and a mixture of three polyisobutylenes with different molecular weights, and appropriate detergents and dispersants. This semi-synthetic two-stroke engine has both high lubricity and high detergency, and also meets the requirements of low smoke and low exhaust system blocking.
