Abstract: The present invention provides a method for finding a wireless device. The exemplary method comprises: storing a Wi-Fi direct connection profile between the wireless device and an electronic device; enabling the Wi-Fi direct function of the wireless device when a condition is met; and establishing a Wi-Fi direct connection with the wireless device in the electronic device to control the wireless device.

Abstract: An electronic device and an associated method are provided. The electronic device includes a wireless circuit and a controller. The wireless circuit is arranged to provide a soft access point. The controller is arranged to detect whether there is at least one client trying to connect to the soft access point when the electronic device operates in a sleep mode; and allow the electronic device to enter a working mode from the sleep mode when detecting that there is at least one client trying to connect to the soft access point.

Abstract: An external device includes a controller, a connector, a function circuit, and a storage device. The storage device stores firmware and an image file. The image file includes an installation program and a driver. The external device is coupled to a host via the connector. The firmware can drive the controller to generate a virtual optical disc drive in the host and load the image file to the virtual optical disc drive so as to start the installation program. When the host does not have the driver, the installation program can install the driver in the host. When the host has the driver, the host can drive the function circuit to work.
