    Abstract: A brightness enhancement film (BEF) includes a light transmissive substrate having a first surface and a second surface, a plurality of lenses disposed on the first surface, and a reflective layer. Each of the lenses has a curved protruding surface facing away from the light transmissive substrate. The radius of curvature of the curved protruding surface in a first direction parallel to the first surface is R1, the radius in a second direction is R2, and R1?R2. The reflective layer is disposed on the second surface and has a plurality of light pass openings respectively located on the optical axes of the lenses. The distance between the apex of the curved protruding surface and the corresponding light pass opening is L, the refractive index of the lenses is n, and the BEF satisfies L<nR1/(n?1) and L<nR2/(n?1). A backing light module using the BEF is provided.

    Abstract: A light guide plate adapted to a backlight module is provided. The backlight module has a plurality of point light sources providing a light beam of a predetermined wavelength. The light guide plate includes a light emitting surface, a bottom opposite to the light emitting surface, a light incident surface connecting the light emitting surface and the bottom, a plurality of grating structures, and a plurality of diffusion dots. The light incident surface is near the point light sources. The diffusion dots are disposed on the bottom. At least portions of the grating structures are disposed on the light incident surface. Each of the grating structures has a plurality of concave parts and a plurality of protruding parts. Each of the concave parts is disposed between two neighboring protruding parts. A ratio of the predetermined wavelength to a pitch between two neighboring protruding parts is ranged between 1.2 to 1.3.

    Abstract: A light guide plate adapted to guide a beam emitted from at least one light emitting device and including a light transmissive substrate and a plurality of optical structures is provided. The beam from the light emitting device enters the light transmissive substrate through the light incident surface and is emitted out. The optical structures are disposed on the bottom surface and each of the optical structures has a first total internal reflection (TIR) surface and a second TIR surface. A part of the beam from the light incident surface is totally internally reflected by the first TIR surface and the second TIR surface in sequence.     Abstract: An electromagnetically actuated adjusting apparatus for lens is disclosed. The adjusting apparatus comprises a body capable of furnishing a lens inside, at least one permanent magnet, a first magnetic conductor and a second magnetic conductor. The first and the second magnetic conductors are respectively wound with a plurality of coils. The permanent magnet is adjoined to the body and has a first polarity and a second polarity opposing each other. The first magnetic conductor has at least a first extension member provided opposite to the first polarity. The second magnetic conductor has at least a second extension member provided opposite to the second polarity. The first extension member and the second extension member can better converge magnetic flux lines emanating from the coils when charged to the positions nearing the two polarities of the permanent magnet so high-efficiency focusing and zooming of lens can be achieved.
