  • Patent number: 11330345
Abstract: A verification code generation method is performed in an electronic device which is for performing encoding to generate a video/audio stream having multiple data segments. The verification code generation method includes the following steps. Each time one of the data segments is generated by the encoding, a first-level checksum associated with the data segment is generated, and the first-level checksum is recorded in an accompanying verification file. At an interval of every N data segments of the data segments, a second-level checksum is generated for W consecutive first-level checksums, and the second-level checksum is recorded in the accompanying verification file, such that a subsequent verification method can quickly verify integrity of a part of data according to the accompanying verification file. Wherein, W is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2, N is a positive integer greater than 0 and smaller or equal to W.

  • Patent number: 10764090
Abstract: A Morse code input method and a portable electronic device for performing the method are provided. The portable electronic device includes a processing circuit and a touchscreen. The method includes: sensing touch events by the touchscreen, recording and comparing time periods of the touch events by the processing circuit; identifying, by the processing circuit, inputs in the ith touch event through (k?1)th touch event as short signals when the time period of the kth touch event is greater than or equal to N times the time period of (k?1)th touch event and the kth touch event is not the last touch event, wherein N is a positive number, k and i are positive integers, with k being greater than or equal to i, and the ith touch event is the earliest one of the touch events in which inputs have not yet been identified as long or short signals.

  • Publication number: 20200103983
Abstract: A starting method for inputting Morse code and a portable electronic device thereof are provided. The starting method for inputting Morse code is performed in the portable electronic device that includes a first physical button, a second physical button, a sensing circuit and a processing circuit. The starting method for inputting Morse code includes steps of: when the portable electronic device is switched to a sleep mode or a shutdown mode, enabling the sensing circuit to sense whether the first physical button and the second physical button are simultaneously pressed by a user; and when the first physical button and the second physical button are simultaneously pressed by the user, enabling the processing circuit to generate a longer mark of Morse code or a shorter mark of Morse code according to the duration for which the user presses the first physical button or the second physical button.

  • Patent number: 9489905
Abstract: A display device driving method is provided. The display device driving method comprises the steps outlined below. A display device is provided, in which each of the first gate lines of a driving circuit of the display device has a first RC value and each of the second gate lines of the drive circuit has a second RC value smaller than the first RC value. A first gate driving signal having a first pulse width is generated to each of the first gate lines to drive corresponding first pixel rows. A second gate driving signal having a second pulse width is generated to each of the second gate lines to drive corresponding second pixel rows, wherein the second pulse width is smaller than the first pulse width.
