  • Publication number: 20140280387
Abstract: A method for expanding storage space using a network device is provided. The method sets a storage order of cloud storage space for expanding a local storage space in the network device. When target data is received from the network device, the method stores the target data into the local storage space when a size of an available storage space of the local storage space is more than or equal to a preset value. When the available storage space is less than the preset value, the method copies the earliest stored data of the local storage space into one or more specified cloud storage spaces according to the storage order, and deletes the copied data from the local storage space. The next earliest stored data is copied if the available storage space is still less than the preset value.

  • Publication number: 20140258510
Abstract: A network device discovery method receives registration information from the network devices which are registered to the cloud device, and generates a management list for recording the registration information and a management status of each of the registered network devices. When a request of searching for specified network devices of a specified network manager from a specified client device is received, the discovery method retrieves specified network devices managed by the specified network manager from the management list. The discovery method further searches for target network devices which have the same public Internet Protocol (IP) addresses with the specified network devices, and presents one or more target network devices which have not been managed by any network manager to the specified client device for the specified network manager.

  • Publication number: 20130001430
Abstract: An inspection method and apparatus for shielding container for high-activity waste is mainly to design the inspection depth of a radiation source in a shielding container and the inspection zone outside the shielding container. It employs a sticking lifting buckle ring at the container cover bottom and a flexible pull string to hang a radiation source inside the shielding container. Between the shielding container and the container cover, there is a compression resistant tube to allow the flexible pull string to pass through and extend outside the shielding container. The flexible pull string allows descending and ascending operation of the radiation source to different height inside the shielding container. The method also includes measuring and recording surface dose rate in each inspection zone outside the shielding container. With the measured surface dose rate from each inspection zone, the method uses a radiation shielding estimation and verification procedure to determine defected shielding container.

  • Patent number: 8333893
Abstract: A filtration separation method for waste resin containing highly radioactive uranium powder and device thereof is mainly used for the waste resin after water treatment process in a nuclear facility. The uranium powder contained in the waste resin is highly radioactive. Thus, prior to the treatment of the waste resin, it is necessary to filter and separate the highly radioactive uranium powder to reduce the radioactivity. It is to put the uranium powder containing waste resin into an underwater holding tank and withdraw the waste resin by an underwater pump into a uranium powder filtration box. Then the uranium powder filtration box is lifted by a hoist to move to an underwater ultrasonic cleaner. High-pressure water flushing is applied and followed by underwater ultrasonic cleaning. Then the cleaning water (containing precipitated uranium powder) from the ultrasonic cleaner is drained to uranium powder collection device.

  • Publication number: 20100012594
Abstract: This present invention is related to a method of collecting high-level radioactive contaminated uranium powder underwater. It utilizes a long rod fixed to the pipe of the sewage pump at bottom, and takes another end of the sewage pump to connect to the sediment bag to collect uranium powder which is dispersed and contaminates the pond. Inhaling the pond water contains uranium powder into the sediment bag by sewage pump that is joined to a collecting can under it and waiting for precipitation of the powder. When the uranium powder in the sediment bag is completely precipitated into the collecting can, operator can utilize submersible pump to drain the pond water from the sediment bag. Operator may hold the cable wire of the uranium powder collecting can manually to move it to the collecting shelf and repeat the process several times until the high-level radioactive uranium powder in the contaminated pond are all collected on the uranium powder collecting shelf.
