  • Patent number: 10259550
Abstract: A method for deploying a payload into a body of water using a deployment vessel, the deployment vessel including a hull defining a payload compartment, the method including positioning the payload in the payload compartment of the deployment vessel, the deployment vessel and the payload having a buoyancy, wherein the buoyancy is initially negative, deploying the deployment vessel into the water at a drop zone, wherein the deployment vessel moves horizontally through the water as it submerges vertically downward under a force of gravity, changing the buoyancy to positive after a minimum horizontal distance is established between the drop zone and the deployment vessel, thereby causing the deployment vessel to surface and, after the surfacing of the deployment vessel, opening the hull to release the payload therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20170168323
Abstract: A method of determining eyeglass fitting measurements from an image for a vision treatment analyzes a front facing source image of a subject to be fitted for frames. Anatomical features are measured from the source image. Attributes of the subject are used to correlate an expected true dimension of the anatomical features and thus scale the measurements in the source image to find the true measurements. More specifically, the subject's iris is measured in the source image, and the subject's height and weight are correlated with an expected iris size, thus enabling scaling of the measurements to find the true dimensions for supplying the subject with appropriately fitted eyeglass frames.

  • Patent number: 7955751
Abstract: An electrochemical cell has an anode cavity and a cathode cavity. The anode cavity and the cathode cavity sandwich an electrochemically conductive medium. The anode cavity and/or the cathode cavity have electrically conductive plates assembled using a solid bonding material. Each plate has nesting volumes and protrusions provided in the perimeter seal area. The protrusions of one plate fit into the volumes of an adjacent plate to eliminate the offset introduced by the bonding material thickness.
