  • Patent number: 5806299
Abstract: A process and a device for quickly switching over from the premixing operation to the diffusion operation in combustion chambers of a gas turbine upon the extinction of the premixing flame or upon the occurrence of a disturbance that may lead to the extinction of the premixing flame. A pilot gas line, into which a pilot gas control valve is inserted, branches off from the fuel gas supply line before the fuel gas valve. The fuel gas supply line branches into fuel supply lines for both combustion chambers after the fuel gas control valve with displacement measurement. The fuel supply to the diffusion gas line and to the premixing gas line is controlled by installing a quick switch-over valve each with servo valves in the branching fuel supply lines. The combustion chambers are monitored in the area of the flame tube by pressure-measuring devices and by an optical flame-monitoring device.

  • Patent number: 5419114
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a thermoelastic connection of a hot gas-carrying injector tube (8) to the flame tube (1) suspended in the combustion chamber housing (10) of a gas turbine. The injector tube (8) is connected by corrugated spacers (7) to a circumferential intermediate ring (6), which is attached to the lower flange of the flame tube (1) by detachable fastening elements (3, 4, 5). A circumferential cooling channel (annular space 15), into which cooling air is admitted, is formed between the cone of the injector tube (8) and the intermediate ring (6). The compressor air enters the combustion space (1, 8) of the combustion chamber (10) through the annular space (15) from below, as well as through the holes (11), especially through the circumferential gap (12).

  • Patent number: 5375411
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a combustion chamber housing of a gas turbine with a laterally arranged inlet elbow (8) for compressor air, which is uniformly distributed over the perforated cone (9) via an intake heart (6), impacts on the injector tube (10) there, and is deflected in the upward direction in the direction of the flame tube and the burner. It is necessary under certain operating conditions of the gas turbine to regulate the primary air flow to the burner, without having to reduce the output of the upstream compressor. This is accomplished according to the present invention by connecting a bypass line (3) with a compensator (1) and a regulating fixture (2), through which part of the air is sent from the air inlet elbow (8) directly into the interior of the injector tube (10) via an inlet tube (4), to the lower part of the combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 4817409
Abstract: The apparatus for flanging and indenting both ends of a cylindrical contar body, particularly for an aerosol or beverage can or container, comprises at least two rotatably driven flanging and indenting heads slidable opposite to each other axially into the container body which are each provided with a radially slidable wobble disk supported centered on a conical member slidable against a spring. Each flanging and indenting head is associaed with a delivery device which brings the flanging and indenting rollers into engagement with the wobble disk. For working a container body composed of doubly reduced or other plate with a Rockwell hardness of at least 60 HR30T each of the wobble disks is associated with two flanging and indenting rollers with parallel rotation axes which are held so that they engage, sometimes simultaneously, the container body to be processed and deform it an increasing amount gradually as seen in the direction of its rotation.
