    Abstract: A door assembly for a sterile or safe room has a door leaf mounted in the door frame by hinge plates and a hose-type seal along the edge of the door leaf edge, when inflated presses against a smooth surface of the frame juxtaposed with the edge of the leaf. The seal is resilient so that it restores to its uninflated position releasing the lock in one to six seconds.
