    Abstract: A singulator for sorting a single item from a supply of such items stored randomly in bulk is provided, including at least one primary vertically reciprocating elevator defining a platform reciprocating between first lower position in which the platform receives and holds an initially limited number of the items delivered from bulk storage, and a first upper position in which the items are delivered to at least one secondary elevator. Each secondary elevator has a second platform and reciprocates between a second lower position in which the second platform receives a further limited number of the items and a second upper position in which the items are delivered to a desired location. The platforms are constructed and arranged for orienting the items in a desired orientation at the desired location.
