  • Patent number: 10254072
Abstract: A bow system and an idler wheel for the bow system (1) is provided. The bow system comprises a first limb (3) and a second limb (4), a riser (2) interconnecting the first (3) and second (4) limbs, a first (5) and a second (6) idler wheel, and a bowstring (9) arranged between the first (5) and the second (6) idler wheel. The first idler wheel (5) is rotationally journalled in a first end portion of the riser (2) and the second idler wheel (6) is rotationally journalled in a second end portion of the riser (2) such that both idler wheels (5, 6) are stationary when the bow system (1) is tensioned.

  • Patent number: 5517887
Abstract: An arrangement for removing an end-part from rapidly moving rolled material includes a cutting device (3) which functions to cut the moving rolled material, and a guide (4) which is located downstream of the cutting device. The guide has an active state, in which a forward end of rolled material (T) to be fed to the guide (4) in a first direction, is gripped and driven thereby and discharged therefrom in a second direction different from the first direction, and an inactive state, in which an end-part of rolled material (T) incoming in the first direction passes through the guide (4) without changing direction and without being gripped thereby. The arrangement also includes feed devices (5) which function to advance rolled material (T) in the second direction. This rolled material is discharged from the guide (4) in the second direction with the guide in its active state.

  • Patent number: 5177867
Abstract: A method for securing a roll-ring onto the end of a roll-axle, comprising prefitting a roll-ring onto a roll-ring mount, and securing the mount with the roll-ring fitted thereon, onto the end of a roll axle. Securement is effected by passing one single screw-threaded bolt axially through an opening through the roll-ring mount, and tightening the bolt into a screw-threaded recess within the end of the roll-axle. The mount has a cylindrical end part (22) on which a roll-ring (30) can be secured, and the mount has an abutment surface (24) against which a roll-ring is to be pressed. Clamping structure (27, 28) presses the roll-ring against the abutment surface, and projections and recesses (25, 29, 31, 34) non-rotatably secure the mount to an end of a roll-axle. The end of the roll-axle has a conical recess in which a conical external surface on the roll-ring mount shape-matingly fits.

  • Patent number: 4966027
Abstract: The present invention related to a wire-rod block which forms part of a wire rolling line and which includes two roll rings, between which the wire rod is rolled, and which further includes an input drive shaft and a gearing for transmitting the drive torque of the drive shaft to the roll rings. According to the invention, the input shaft (10) drives one of the roll ring shafts directly, via a first bevel gear (13) and also an output drive shaft (12), via a gear (11). The output drive shaft, in turn, drives the shaft of the other roll ring, via a second bevel gear (14), wherein the transmission ratios of the gear (11) and the bevel gears is such that the roll rings will rotate at mutually the same peripheral speeds.

  • Patent number: 4785653
Abstract: A wire rolling machine comprising a pair of parallel drive shafts, a housing mounted for swinging movement on each drive shaft, and a first gear within the housing secured to each drive shaft. A second gear within the housing is driven by the first gear, a driven shaft within the housing bearing at one end the second end and emerging from the housing and bearing at an end opposite the second gear a driven roll. Each driven roll has a peripheral groove, the peripheral grooves being adapted to be brought into registry with each other when the housings are swung toward each other. The driven shafts swing in a common plane. Structure is provided to swing the housings relative to each other about the drive shafts.

  • Patent number: 4720056
Abstract: A fly-fishing reel has a line spool and an associated housing mountable on a fly rod. The line spool includes a tubular body with radially projecting edge flanges, the body being rotatably supported around its inner peripheral surface by carrier rollers rotatably mounted in the housing, the carrier rollers are journalled with a predetermined rotational drag so as to prevent the line spool from spinning. Thus, the inventive fly-fishing reel operates without any specific brake arrangement. The invention further includes a process for shifting a fly line mounted on a fly rod and on a fly fishing reel in which only the original fly line is substituted. Through the help of an auxiliary shaft mounted on the housing of the fly-fishing reel, the original fly line is wound on to an exchange spool leaving the backing line on the line spool of the fly-fishing reel.
