Abstract: A catheter retaining system for a container is disclosed. The system may be utilized with a wide variety of containers for receiving catheterized fluids. Each embodiment of the system includes a structure for selectively securing at least one catheter to the container. The structure assists in maintaining the catheter in the proper location with respect to the container to minimize or eliminate spills, prevent contamination of sterile environments or the specimen, facilitate the catheterization process for patients and prevent patient embarrassment.
