  • Publication number: 20220268800
Abstract: A hybrid sensor assembly is configured to be mounted on a vehicle to sense structure borne and airborne noises generated as the vehicle travels over the roads. The sensor assembly includes a housing having a circuit board mounted therein, an accelerometer mounted on the circuit board, a microphone mounted on the circuit board, an acoustic port through the housing and in communication with the microphone, and an acoustic fabric attached to the housing over the port. An acoustic shield covers the acoustic port and substantially deters the entry of fluid and debris into the acoustic port.

  • Patent number: 10014605
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing having pockets formed in a receiving end of the housing. A terminal module is inserted into the pockets wherein the terminal modules are constructed from a stitch plate including a plurality of terminals retained therein, A cover having a plurality of spaced apart walls form thereon is arranged on the stitch plate and is moved into engagement with the stitch plate with the walls disposed in the intervening space between adjacent terminals. The connector assembly is pressed onto a circuit board in which a force is applied to the connector housing and is directly transferred to the terminal tails of the terminal modules causing electrical contact between conductive holes of the circuit board and the terminals.

  • Publication number: 20070287310
Abstract: A lever-type electrical connector assembly is provided that includes first and second electrical connectors having an actuating lever movably mounted thereon for movement between a release position with the connectors un-mated and a lock position with the connectors mated. In one form, a blocking member is provided between the first connector and the actuating lever for holding the actuating lever in the release position. A second connector includes a release member for shifting the blocking member to allow the actuating lever to move from the release position to the lock position. In another form, the electrical connector assembly is configured to precisely maximize the mechanical advantage provided by the actuating lever by including a predetermined force transmitting engagement portion at which the lever actuator engages one of the connectors to transmit a concentrated, predetermined leveraged output force thereto upon pivoting of the lever from the release to the lock position.

  • Publication number: 20070128900
Abstract: A lever type electrical connector assembly includes a connector housing provided for mounting a plurality of terminals. The housing includes a forward end for mating with a complementary mating connector and a rear end for receiving a plurality of electrical wires for termination to the terminals. A mating assist lever is pivotally movably mounted on the housing for movement in a pivotal operating stroke between a pre-load position at one end of the stroke to allow the electrical wires to be terminated to the terminals and a mated position at an opposite end of the stroke. Interengaging latches are provided between the connector housing and the mating assist lever to hold the lever in its pre-load position. A wire dress cover is mountable over the rear end of the housing to protect the connections between the electrical wires and the terminals. The wire dress cover has release means for disengaging the latches to allow the mating assist lever to be pivoted after the cover is mounted on the housing.
