    Abstract: A metal clip is provided for closing mailing envelopes. The clip consists of three functional groups: a central body, two lateral closing flaps, and an anchoring device. The anchoring device has at least two triangularly shaped prongs bent out from a predetermined zone of the central body so that an opening is created therein. The prongs are arranged parallel with each other but opposite one another on opposing edges of the opening, so that bending edges of the prongs extend parallel with the longitudinal extension of the central body.
